Your current dress looks soooo much better than the Stella York!  The second kind of looks like a prom dress to me.  You look absolutely gorgeous and the Allure almost gives me dress regret!  The bow on the back is darling!

@Janelle123:  I think the Allure looks stunning on you!!  Before you sell it, you might consider going dress shopping to see if there’s anything else you like better.  Personally, I’m not a fan of the Stella York.

    Good luck!

I totally understand where you’re coming from regarding your concerns about the cleavage issue with the Allure gown. Although it’s certainly a very beautiful dress, and the lace is stunning, I have to say that I much prefer the elegance and beauty of the Stella York ball gown on you.  I actually think that the Stella York offers a more youthful look than the Allure. Obviously, I can see by the three pages of comments and the poll results that I am among a very small minority of bees on this topic, however. 🙂

Whatever you decide, you will be a stunning bride! If you keep the Allure, perhaps you can have the neckline altered to include some tulle or additional lace to address your concerns regarding the cleavage.

Definitely the Allure! The second dress I think looks more dated

@Janelle123:  also – if you think you have too much cleavage you could ask the seamstress to add some fabric to the neckline. Also, if you are self-conscious about your arms you could add short sleeves

o wow you I absolutely love the allure on you. I think it’s actually more figure flattering on you compared to the other dress. I do not thinking it is showing much cleavage at all but if you feel uncomfortable a seamstress can always alter it. And your arms do nt look chunky at all. I lvoe that it has straps! also I’m nrmally a bling person and the stella york def has more but I think the allure actually has the perfect amount. while the bodice on the stella york is lovely not so fond of the skirt it looks don’t get me wrong “cheaply made” in comparison to your dress.

both are very different style of dresses so I could see why there’s some struggle.

I voted for the Allure. I think it looks great on you! I don’t mind the cleavage either- I think its appropriately sexy and graceful at the same time. The Stella York is forgettable.

The Allure dress is just lovely!  You look great in it–but I know how tough a person can be on themselves (I hate looking in a mirror!) so if it would give you more confidence, you could buy a lovely chiffon or tulle stole to drape over your shoulders or arms.

@Janelle123:  Okay, so I totally skipped what you wrote and just went straight to looking at pics and saw the first one and thought “Omg, that is stunning”. Then saw the back and thought, “OMG stunning”, then saw the close up and thought “OMG STUNNING!”. Then saw the last pic, made a icky face and thought “ACK, Noooooo!”

Really. The Allure looks AHHHHHMAZING on you!! I love my dress and very rarely do I see a dress on another bee and feel a bit of dress envy, but I seriously felt it here. It fits your perfectly, shows your figure lovely, and is a gorgeous, unique dress. Please, please don’t get rid of it.

Janelle123:  WHAT?!! I think you’re crazy, I actually gasped when I saw the back of the Allure!! I LOVE IT. The lace, the bow, the silhouette.. and I love the front too, it’s got just enough detail on the front!  Your arms don’t look fat at all, you look gorgeous and it’s a very flattering silhouette on you.  Cleavage isn’t terrible, but it may not fit with certain venues, like a very fancy church. But you look GREAT!

I don’t really like the other dress, honestly. The top and bottom are too different.. the sparkly diva business up top doesn’t mesh well with the flowy romantic skirt, IMO. Your figure looks great, but the dress itself doesn’t flow.

You look amazing in the dress you got!!! Are you wearing a bra? Going braless would probably help with the cleavage. tbh (sorry) i really dislike the Stella your dress is a zillion times better!
