I think that dress is beautiful. I had a similar experience, but when I looked at pics of the dress a while later, I remembered why I fell in love, even though the pics of me were really unflattering (thanks for sitting and taking pictures from a down angle, mom!) Not that those are unflattering pics – I think you look beautiful in it, but that was the reason for my uneasiness. Also – remember the dress will fit you better and um, hellooo, this is why god made spanx. I would give yourself some time to cool down and think about it.

Also – I was referring to dress 1.

The second one looks amazing. The belt really helps to define your waist. But really, both options look great on you. You can’t go wrong with either!

Honestly, I had to look a few times to see any differences between the two, both fit and design wise. You really can’t go wrong with either, but you loved the Emma, so I would stick with what you love. It’s your wedding dress, not anyone else’s.

Dress one is beautiful and beautiful on you. I love the detailing more so than the second dress. The lace is more elegant.

smashleykat:  I really had the same issues! I still cringe a little when I see photos from that day, but when I close my eyes and remember how I FELT when I looked in the mirror, no other dress came close. I should be receiving mine this/next week, so we’ll see if I was right, haha!

I’m sorry but are these photos of 2 different dresses? They all look the same to me.

I’m with the ladies who say they both look the same. Took me a few looks to see the difference and I still only see a slight difference in the shape, big difference in the lace. You look great in the both and I don’t think once altered one would fit you any better than the other so this is a design choice really.

Go with the one you FELT the best in. That’s what I had to do in the end, remember the feeling and go with it

I had to look really close before I noticed they weren’t the same. I like the clean lines at the top of the second one better. I personally don’t see where either does anything wrong to your already lovely figure. I don’t see any difference in the stomach area that you’re talking about. (And I know you didn’t ask — but I agree with a PP that the belt looks pretty around your waist, but I don’t love the sparkles on that soft lace.)

Let us know what you decide! You look beautiful!

smashleykat:  If I showed people pictures of the dress I chose and the dress I almost chose EVERYONE would tell me to get my runner-up. Reason being, it was actually my size, so you could see my shape and the one I got was too small, so it looked…not good. But I knew that one was my dress and while the other was very lovely, the one I got was ME. I think you will be happy with the one YOU chose.

I’m an Emma bride, so I’m biased! But yes, go with her. You won’t be disappointed. My salon also only had the gold, and I ordered ivory. She is STUNNING!

I’m struggling to find the difference between the dresses.  You look great in every picture.

I love the detail on the neckline of the Emma.
