I love your dress! I also think you look gorgeous in it!

If if you’re really concerned with not having a butt; you could consider body shape wear that accentuates that area. Or, butt pads ? It might ease your nerves.

Also, if your budget allows for it could you take your dress to an additional seamstress ? To fix all the little details ?

I hope everything turns out how you want it. Best of luck!

You look incredible, like a model! However, I know at the end of the day you need to be happy with you look in your wedding dress. If you’re concerned about how your butt looks, I’d suggest wearing a “fake butt” under your dress. I wish I would’ve done that AND wore a corset when I got married. (I was a size 16/18 when I got married and I carry all my weight in my upper half, not my lower half. I wore a mermaid dress, which emphasizes everything, and had bad posture at the altar so it looks like I literally had no ass in my pictures). It sounds silly, but I’ve been married for a year and half and I still agonize about how my body looked in some of my wedding photos. I don’t think you need to do anything (you’re perfect!) but wear a fake butt if it makes you feel better.

may16bride:  You look fine. It does not look like you have no butt.

So if they at DB cant see the issue, they dont know enough to fix it. My first seamstress was like this and kept ruining it. Dont let DB ruin it further trying to fix it. Take the dress and run out of there.

It is beautiful as is so even if you did nothing, noone would seriously think what it should look like, they will just see you very beautiful bride.  Or you can continue to find another seamstress and work on it until it is fixed. Just get it away from DB incompetent seamstresses, 0.

DRESS TWINS AND REGRET TWINS OP! Haha. Funny.

I feel you. Its a beautiful dress but I’m having the same fears about alterations. Granted my wedding isn’t until December and I haven’t even had an alterations fitting yet; I let my stylist at DB talk me into ordering a size up from what I thought I needed basically because she was too rushed and didn’t want to get the size down to let me try it on. The store was a zoo, I was so ready to escape the madness I let her convince me that the dress would fit a bit more snug when it came in since the one I tried on had been tried on a bunch of times. HA! My dress came in and it literally fits more loosely than the sample from the store.

TLDR: Mine is loose where the lace mees the tool just under the butt like yours and I have like zero boobage up top, so I feel like altering it and making it look right will be challenging.

BUT, as for you, you literally look amazing. I can see your concern about the lower area but as for the top, I don’t think it looks big at all. It fits you amazingly. Sounds crazy but there are pads you can have a seamstress sew in to give you a little more oomph in the butt area… just a thought! I honestly might be doing that. And if you find a local reliable seamstress, it shouldn’t cost a lot or take a lot of time to take the dress in judt a tiny bit under the butt.

Anyway, best of luck. You look gorgeous either way!

I suspect it’s normal to go through this, but you look totally amazing in that dress
