I know I’ve deffinately felt this way.. But I find it hard to beleive you REALLY dont like your dress.. You obviously picked that one because you liked it 🙂

I Had some MAJOR dres regret, (and still kind of do) BUT I picked this dress out for a reason, I thought it was beautiful, and I could see myself geting married in it.
Since then I wished I had gotten something fancier/poofier..

But I stopped thinking about it for awhile, And now, Im perfectly fine with my dress..once our wedding day comes we probably arent even going to be thinking about what we are wearing!! And after its over, who cares!! It was a beautiful dress.. It doesnt have to be perfect!!

So just try to think of the postive, Its going to be the best day of your live and your fiance is going to think you look beautiful no matter what you wear!! (its true that most husbands dont remember what the dress even looked like, Its not whats important about the day)

@7monthbride:  I’m *kind of* in the same boat as you.  I go through periods where I love my dress and periods where I really wish I had picked something else.  The fact still remains that I am SO excited about my wedding.  Your wedding is going to be a blast!  You’re marrying the man you love.  Celebrate that!  You get to wear a pretty, fancy dress!  Enjoy it!

I second the request for pictures.

The thing is, I’ve seen alterations departments work miracles. As long as you’re happy (or happy-ish) with the way your body looks, they can make the dress fit to you in a way that brings out your best attributes while minimizing anything you might not like. You must have chosen the dress because you thought the style was flattering to you. Based on your post, I am assuming your alterations have not been done yet. It will look COMPLETELY different once it fits you, and if you don’t like it, they can alter it again until you do like it. It won’t be cheap, but feeling beautiful on your wedding day is priceless IMO.

Or is it a matter of you falling in love with another dress?

I’m in the same boat – I keep going back and forth… as of right now my dress is a good size or two too big, so I’m SO anxious to get alterations done!!!!  I think if we just get in the mindset of “This is THE one” and just keep positive vibes going, it will all work out.. 😉

@7monthbride:  I don’t think anyone would judge you. You’re entitled to your opinion one way or the other–it’s such a subjective thing. I would like to see it so that maybe I could help you see what’s good about it. Or if it’s really awful, I’d tell you as kindly as I could, because why lie on the Internet? Maybe there are things you could do, too, like add a belt or shrug or increase or decrease the amount of poofiness that would help. But no one is going to look down on you or think you’re stupid, any more than someone would look down on someone who hates potatoes or baseball or Mumford and Sons.

@EffieTrinket:  I second this… I would love to see pictures!

Maybe you could tell us what exactly it is you dont like, and what you wanted..maybe we can help you with ideas of how to make it more of your dream dress 🙂

Your dress is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! Very classic and perfect!!!

I do like it a tad better without the hoopskirt.

@7monthbride:  Now that I think about it, I think I’ve seen your dress before. What don’t you like about it?

Okay I see your picture now… and lemme say this stlye dress is TOTALLY the style I wish I had got!! Wanna trade lol!? I think adding the balero was a great idea for what you wanted..Im thinking about getting one too!

The tops to our dresses are the same, But I wish I had got a natural waist, poofier dress like yours! mine is more fitted and flat…. :p

Your dress is very nice! What kind do you wish you had gotten/or what do you not like about it?
