My venue is garden/outside so I didn’t want a heavy, puffy dress or a train – also I’m planning this wedding just under 5 months. While looking for a dress for my moh, I spotted & purchased this Sue Wong dress – I loved the top but hated the lace on the bottom – bought off the rack and found a great tailor – had lace removed and replaced with chiffon – ($400 in alterations – same price as dress) love the way the dress looks with the new skirt..but started having a lot of doubts about how fitted it wasn’t and began to feel like it was just a nice dress.
This consuming my thoughts went to a bridal store with my cousin after work just to ‘see’ – mostly hoping it would make me like my dress again but ended up really liking..that I didn’t want to take off a lace dress – allure. Do I take the loss and go through the trouble? My mother bought me the dress and we split alterations – I don’t like being wasteful with money. That being said, I’m still very torn – I’m hoping some unattached opinions/feedback will help.

I really don’t want to make you doubt your decision, but I LOVE that lace dress. It looks amazing on you. With your figure, I’m sure you could pull off anything but that second dress is much more flattering. 🙂

The lace looks amazing on you. I hate saying that because I wouldn’t want to be wasteful with money spent on a dress either, but the lace looks so much better on your figure.

Normally I suggest sticking with the original choice, but I do think the second one looks awesome on you. It’s just so much more flattering on your figure. You can always sell your first dress, it is beautiful too!

I love the 2nd dress BUT I like the first dress for your venue! The neckline on the first is not as flattering on you it seems to me.
If you are always going to regret marrying in the first then take the plunge.. 🙂

Well, I honestly like them both so I don’t think you can go wrong! =o) Sorry I’m not of much help, but I’d say don’t let the regret get to you because you’re going to look amazing no matter what you choose.

the 2nd dress is a WOW . i think it is so much more flattering on you. i hate wasting money too but i also hate regrets. i would never want to regret my wedding dress. i feel like maybe you could wear the 1st dress to a totally different occasion. your rehersal or honymoon maybe.

I’m going to go against the gain here and say that I like your dress SO much better! It’s unique and a hard style to pull off but you can with your figure. I honestly REALLY like it. I don’t like the 2nd one as much. I don’t like whatever is going on on the bust and it just seems very repetitive, like it’s been done so many times over. I would stick with your original dress.

Didn’t read the post but I like the second dress by a landslide, it hugs your body and curves perfectly. The first one makes your curves appear less defined and you look more “straight”

The second dress is an absolute dream on you. Perfection!
I don’t care for the first one because I feel like it truncates your body into three distinct sections instead of letting it all flow together. The detailing on it is beautiful, however.

The second dress looks much better on you! I’m not a fan of the first dress. The second one gives you a much better shape vs the first dress which seems to just hang.

Sorry sweetie but I do prefer the second dress… You look fabulous in it !

The first dress is pretty and has great details, but it doesn’t really accentuate your curves.
The second dress is fabulous on you! And the lace is SOOO romantic.
I know it’s difficult to justify purchasing a 2nd dress when you already have one, but consider which dress makes you feel amazing and go with it.

I really like number two. u could always try to sell the first one to get some of your money back, follow your heart.
