I had posted a while ago that I had bought a dress and had a poll..
Link here.. http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/ughhh-help-me-decide-super-pic-heavy
Most people loved the Dabra.. I still don’t love it.. And of course someone who is second guessing everything decided while I love LOVE the way the sparkle drop waist looks on me.. it may be too much for what I am going for.
So we went to PoB, because I heart them and I tried on another dress… I wouldn’t of had. I felt so pretty and want to twirl around. Cue second guessing.. I haven’t looked at straps and am afraid the back cuts me so wierd.. I was thinking about cutting the straps out because I have no chest.. and just making the back come to a v and leave the front. Oh and my mom loves this one more then the one we bought. But she’s no help either.. she said she’s afraid I am going to think I look frumpy because you can’t see any of my body.
I’m going to repost my Dabra and the new one.. My wedding is going to be a southern wedding-ish.. reception on a lake.. with very subdued colors, blush pink, light goldenrod, and light peach. Oh and lots of flowers. We will be getting married in a catholic church. I do not whimsical, I want beautiful and fresh. Ah yes, it is the beginning of June in New England.
ANd here is the other one.. Don’t mind me hunching and my awful tan line..
Or if anyone has any suggestions I will take those too! I love the buttons down the back.. but I like the dropped waist.. I honestly think I am just confused and am sick of shopping. Oh and I am extremely indecisive and over analyze everything.

They’re both beautiful so if you already bought one, stick with it. If you haven’t, I’d say #2 is more the “southern belle” look. Nothing frumpy about either… isn’t it funny how moms are sometimes the ones pushing us to look sexier!

You look bonkers gorgeous in both – which ever you already own is the winner in my mind 🙂

I voted for the Dabra, because I love it and you look great in it. But if you don’t love either, you should keep looking.

Honestly I like #2 but POB is closing all their stores at the end of the year and I’d worry about getting that dress as well as the alterations/support you may need leading up to the wedding.
The dabra looks fantastic on you as well.

Two completely different looks. I like them both, you can’t go wrong with either!

I like the second dress better, because the first one seems to cut you off on the butt area, and doesn’t really enhance anything. Plus the second dress looks casual comfort, elegent, classic. I love it.

I know PoB is closing, they actually have the sample in my size, in that color in perfect condition. The seamstress will be working independently. And actually we have had so many problems where we got the Dabra, that we would have to find an independent seamstress also.

I love loev love number one…If i could do it over again…..I mean LOVE number one!
Number 2 ….the roses on the torso/chest area are distracting…..

I voted for dress 2 but they really are both beautiful!! You look great in both =) So if you already bought one I would stick with it. If not then go for #2.
You really look amazing in both!!!!!!!!

@TopazWedding: You don’t love the Dabra, so if it’s in the budget~the POB looks fabulous on you! You look lovely in the Dabra as well, but have already said you don’t love it.
I wouldn’t remove the straps from the POB, it looks great like it is! I don’t see any frumpy-ness. 🙂

The problem is that I think the top of the dabra is awesome… it’s the bottom I have a problem with.. if I could find that top.. that could go into silk taffeta or satin.. I’d be all over there.

- Wedding: September 2011 - Bent Creek Winery (Livermore, California); Reception: Family Residence (San Ramon, California)
Both are so pretty on you, so you can’t go wrong with either. If you do get the second, though, I’d stick with the straps. I’m not sure how it would look/hold up without the straps. I think they’re lovely on you!
Also, did you know that PoB is closing nation-wide? You may just want to check if you can even order the second dress new from them (I know the salon where I got my dress is no longer taking orders, just selling all of their samples). If not, there’s always the option of buying a sample or the dress used. I just wasn’t sure if you knew about PoB’s closing and had thought how to get the second dress from them, if that’s what you decide to go with.

The Dabra is amazing, and I dont think the second dress can compete with it.
HOWEVER you seem to not be loving the Dabra, so if you want the other dress, go for it and trust your own opinion, so you dont end up in a dress regret situation again.
