The first dress looks heavy. The second dress looks crepe papery.
YOUR dress is beautiful. The pleats at the top, the detail on the bodice, the beautiful skirt… oh man. It’s gorgeous. You’ve just spent too long looking at the photos and second-guessing yourself!
My advice? Delete the photos. They don’t help. It’s so easy to stare at a photo of a dress that isn’t fitted to you, with no accessories, and convince yourself it doesn’t suit. And they’re not great photos – they haven’t been set up or composed very nicely.
Here’s my advice. See if you can go try the sample on again. Ask your dress shop or, if you think they won’t let you, go to another stockist. Do your hair, make-up and nails all glam before you go, or have them done; take some pretty things to wear (maybe see if you can borrow a necklace and tiara, if you don’t have them, or see if the shop has some you could try on) and take someone who is good at photography. And don’t stand on that block thing – I don’t get what that’s for?
I think some decent photos would help alot. Good luck!

Your dress is absolutely beautiful.
I think it suits you better than the others, truly.

You look amazing in ALL of those dresses. You still have a while until the wedding. Can you sell your dress and buy a new one?

Thanks girls, you’re all really supportive!
I think my plan for now is to wait for my dress to come in and try it on with a crinoline underskirt to see if I feel better about it. It’s supposed to come in by the end of this month, so hopefully I’ll get it soon.
I would go try it on again, but I got it a few hours away from me. I’ll hold off on making any rash decisions until I get the dress back.
I think the thing I’m struggling with most is that I really was originally going for something with more volume than the dress I wound up with, which is why that first dress still appeals to me. The dress I chose looks deflated to me in the pictures and I’m reeeeeeally hoping that adding some crinoline to it will give it the look I was going for. Also, I tried it on with a veil that looked AWFUL on me and so those pictures just don’t appeal to me at all. I’ll have to find a better veil to try it on with and see if I look more like the bride I envisioned myself being.
Thanks for the support… I’ll keep you posted!

@csteen85: you look great in all of them, i like the dress you picked the best :).

I love the dress you picked! Remember that your dress will be brand new and likely more poofy than the sample. Sounds like you have a good plan and you have plenty of time to make decisions 🙂

I think the dress you picked is gorgeous! It is super flattering and timeless. I really think putting it on again with the right accessories will make all the difference in the world. Good luck!

You can always add crinoline or a hoop skirt to give more fullness! 🙂

I think the dress you bought is gorgeous and absolutely flattering to your figure! The other two, though pretty dresses, do not do you the same justice the third one does.
That being said, and as someone who has gone through dress regret myself, regardless of what anyone else’s opinion is, you have to be happy with your choice for your wedding day. So if after going back to the store and trying on the sample again you’re still not convinced it is the dress for you, then you should keep looking for something that makes you very happy.

I know this may not be any help to you, and I’m not saying this just to try to make you feel better, but your dress is one that sticks out for me as one of my favorite dresses I’ve seen posted on the Bee.
I think it looks incredible on you, and I can just picture the gasps as you walk down the aisle if you stick with this dress.
All the best to you. Hope everything works out.

You look great in all three, it just comes down to preference in style. All three are completely different from each other. Don’t worry, you look beautiful in your dress!
