So before getting my dress altered I loved it and now its just… blah. I dont know if it looks funny because I wore a different bra to the fitting or because it just sucked in all my hips (which I had wanted in the first place). I just feel so straight and not too curvy in the dress and I’m really disappointed but i dont have a choice but to just stick with it because my wedding is in 40 something more days. Its just depressing.
Here is a picture of my dress before it was altered.
And here it is after (please forgive me for the picture quality. My mother is horrible at taking pictures )
Please tell me what you guys think. Thank you.

@VeeeVeee: I think it still looks great! Even better! No need for dress regret IMO.

looks like the bust needs to be taken in a fair bit and the waist and hips a wee bit. Also maybe it’s not laced up quity firmly enough. Maybe some cups in the bust too. Honestly, it’s a stunning dress, just looks like it needs a bit more tweaking. I had a bit of terror when my trumpet style gown was being fitted. They’re very hard to fit because they have to match the curve of your body exactly. It took me like, 4 fittings. Let them work on it then try again.

How are you getting “Blah” from this dress?!? You look incredible!!
I’d say take in the top a little, but other than that you look va-va-voom!!

Wow, your figure looks amazing! Did you want it tighter at the waist or something? It looks great as is, seriously. You are all hourglass lovely!

Blah?! You look AMAZING! …And that’s without seeing the jewelry and shoes!

Thanks for all the replies and compliments. I guess the real problem is the bust. I’ll try it on again with the bra I used for the first fitting and if it doesnt work I’ll ask her to adjust it once again. Hopefully that helps 🙂

I truly dislike the before picture. I mean that in the kindest way possible. The alterations give you such a flattering figure and it just looks beautiful on you after the alterations.

Scrap the jacket it is keeping all of the attention at your bustline and throwing things wayyy off. Get a statement necklace to left the eye up off your breast area. The dress is nice and you have a great body for it.
