I absolutely love your first dress! I do see what your saying between the two ballgown styles though, but I literally think it’s just the lace appliqués that are making the first one lay differently. Your chest looks smokin and such a tiny waist! I can’t believe you are concerned about it not being flattering. We are our own worst critics.
I would keep the dress you have. I went through the same thoughts. I got a fitted dress (fitted shoulder to thigh) and I regretted it and wished I had gone for a ball gown style/A line that only showed off my bust and waist. My belly button area and hips pooched out in the fitted dress and I wasn’t pleased with the pictures since it didn’t hide anything and the shaping/boning only made me look small from a side view. Frontal and back looked huge bc of my hips! I wish I had gone with the dress that flattered the smallest part of my waist so much like yours does! That style shows your figure amazingly and it won’t have any potentially bad angles like mine did.

mpd80 : thank you, everyone does love the dress, it just goes to show you want what you dont have haha!! I’ve started looking at other dresses, weirdly, when I started looking I became more accepting of my first pick! I think I just have to get a lot out of my system as I didn’t really dress shop in the first place! Either way, you look beautiful in both but I do love your first pick!

You’re worried about a fitted sheath dress looking too sexy? Dude, boobs got you covered there.
I love the dress you bought. I wouldn’t go less full in the skirt, your hips are narrow compared to your chest and you’ll lose the hourglass. The ballgown style is very flattering.

Truthfully, I love your dress and I think it shows you off nicely 🙂 The skirt isn’t huge and it looks like you could dance the night away in it. A gf of mine had major dress regret a week or so before her wedding. She ended up keeping the dress and it was absolutely perfect on her and she loved it. Try to remember why you chose it in the first place and if you’re still not sure – you can get a rockin’ reception dress!
