    I actually really like the second dress on you.

    Well looking at all three, I definitely like the one you bought! Really good undergarments can really help. My problem is some back fat and the Sassybax bras and slips really work wonders for me. The detailing is really so lovely. Add a  nice necklace and you will look stunning!

    I personally like the second one more. I think it’s beautiful and fits your shape more. If you decide to go for that dress, I would focus more on jewerly. The last one I think it won’t be as flattering on you.

    Honestly I love the one you bought. It’s very romantic looking and does great things for your figure. Honestly all brides get the dress regret at some point. It really does look beautiful.

    I really like the dress you have, maybe you could add a beaded sash at your waist or under the bust to de-emphasize the line at your hips if it bothers you, although I don’t think it is necessary! I really think it is more flattering on you than the second dress!

    I don’t think the Simply Bridal dress will fit just like the 2nd dress– it looks like it’s got more tulle in the ballgown, so it will be fluffier and bigger.  I love the 2nd dress on you (yes, I realize you can’t afford it) but I don’t think the 3rd dress will look as good.  I’d say either keep the one you have or see if you can find a used 2nd dress online.

    @bookworm88:

    agreed. I prefer the second dress to your first dress but I don’t think the third dress is that similar to the second dress. The skirt bells out more.

    The second dress looks amazing, and the Simply Bridal dress won’t fit like that does.

    The reason the second dress looks SO GOOD is because it’s an empire waist and hits you just under your bust, where you’re tiniest.

    The Simply Bridal dress has a natural waist and will cut across your body, maybe a couple inches above where the dress you already purchased begins to cut across.

    Would there be any way to get the second dress somewhere used, or perhaps find a sample in your size at a different DB? That looks like the Oleg Cassini unless I’m mistaken. It’s a pretty popular dress, I bet there are a lot of used ones floating around.

    If not, and if you’re REALLY unhappy with your dress (though personally I think it looks fine), I would look for empire-waisted gowns in your price range.

    I think yes, try to exchange it for the 2nd dress… However, the 1st dress doesn’t look as aweful as you think it does.  My attention wasn’t drawn to the hips so much as how much it sinches in your waist.  I agree with the PP that said undergarments are fantastic!  What is your venue and theme?

    Good Luck and let us know what happens!

    Can you get your dress altered to a sweet heart neckline like the second dress you tried on? Maybe that would draw eyes up from the diagonal line you don’t like?

    @MardiGrasMambo:  I persoanlly like your original dress. It is very “bride” and romantic just like you said. I also tried on the second dress, the one you really like, and if I remeber it does not have a train. While I didn’t hate the dress, I actually liked it, it just wasn’t so much “bride” as it was “princess”. Don’t get me wrong, the second dress looks great on you and is very flattering. But your original one is so pretty and gives you a nice shape.
