I couldn’t vote because I had dress regret and bought a different dress.  I’m SOOO happy I sold my first dress and bought a new one.  I don’t think I would have been happy.  I’m sure I would have looked nice but I would always be thinking about “What If”.  The new dress fits the theme of my wedding better.

I stuck with my dress and was very happy I did.  Sure I could have had a more fabulous dress (or so I think), but I still thought the dress I had looked great and I still had the extra money I would have spent on another dress in my pocket.  Seeing how the day went by so far, I think I would have regretted spending the extra money.

I cannot vote because I cannot see all of the options but I will share my experience. Since I bought my dress I wasnt a fan of it for some odd reason when I was in the store I loved it, then once I left I did not understand why I bought such a hideous dress. Finally after I went back to try it on again with a different slip and bra I fell in love all over again.

@NurseMandie:  +1 to what you did. I actually just went thru that process earlier this week. Last month I settled on a gown out of frustration knowing it wasnt “the one” so I decided to buy the one I loved after searching and searching and searching and finally finding it!

@MrsRight: I would normally say dont settle but given how close you are, you might not have a choice. Also try to remember you purchased that dress because it spoke to you at that time. Try to get back to that place of euphoria with your dress.

@CocoClassic:  Good for you.  Not that I would condone always buying a new dress but I think you need to use your best judgement.  I was so torn about what to do because I didn’t want to spend so much money on another dress.  I cried, lost sleep etc.  But when my car finally sold after having it for sale for several months the weekend before I was to go try on the new dress, which was being sold at a sample sale, and the leftover money from selling my car and paying off the new car was the EXACT amount to buy the new dress….I knew it was meant to be.

@MrsRight:  I felt like a princess the day of my wedding. I had a beautiful dress, but I’m not sure it was “the one”.  But it was the one I wore and it became special to me because I wore it on my wedding day. I won’t lie and say that I don’t occassionally look at a picture and think “what if I had a different dress” but mostly, I look at the pictures and treasure the day.  But I also still have it in the dress bag and I go sneak peaks at it in admiration 🙂
