It’s really, really pretty. I think the 2nd pic you posted looks like it’s lower, yes. It could totally have been the angle.

If you’re having second thoughts, take it to a seamstress! They can work wonders.

thunderberry:  Um, dress alteration twin! Haha… I’m saying that because I am going through really similar issues with the belt/short torso issue and was feeling all meh about the dress I LOVED when I first tried it on. I had the same thoughts–the belt on my sample dress looked lower than when I’ve tried it on (I thought I was crazy for seeing this too!), but I think I may be able to move it down some. Is yours sewn on?

However… let me say, I think you look stunning! You have a really nice shape to your body with this dress, very hourglass. I do think it would look good without the straps. Try tucking them in and seeing how it looks without it!

Alterations can really fix little tiny details little by little. I also found having the right kind of bra (long-line, push-up since I’m small!) made a HUGE difference. But your overall effect is great. Feel confident!

thunderberry:  I definitely think the bodice just needs to be altered to fit tighter. I’m wondering if you could have them turn the straps upside down. What does the back look like? Mine were wide on the bottom and thinner on the top, which I loved:

thunderberry:  oh, also, someimes they can move appliques, so I would just try to make them see what it is you want and do what it takes!

looks fine to me. you could try putting a sash or sparkly belt on?

anyone can wear underwear shapers.. if you want even more curves? i’m not quite sure what you’re seeing is wrong with it, as it really looks fine.

what don’t you like about it? the material? the straps? the width the skirt extends to -so do you maybe want more of a hip-clinging skirt?

have you thought of drapy satin? in a creamy shade?

This dress is giving ME dress regret and I’m already married! The dress looks beautiful on you, so elegant and romantic! I totally think your body is stunning and the dress complements it. Personally, I love straps and I think it’s more unique than going strapless–just my opinion! Keep the dress!!!

thunderberry:  i think you look lovely, that being said u need to feel lovely.

I think on that one day even if ur saving for a house its prob one months payments maybe to in the long term of your whole life, those 1 or 2 months of extra payments will not matter.

The photos your grand kids and great grandkids will look at do matter yuou want o feel lovely in your gown, splurge you deserve it and you can always sell dresses after dont worry jut rememeber you look beautiful so you should feel it too.
