Thank you so much!! I forgot to ask, where did you order that incredible jewelry from??
Indeed, alterations can sometimes be so tiny, but make all the difference. That, and our own ‘head in the right place’. haha
I’m surprised there aren’t any more pictures. I know there are many ladies who went through the same troubles. It’d be so cool to see more before-and-after pics.
Where are you hiding, brides? ;))

I had the jewelry custom made by a UK company (I now live in the US, but used to live in the UK) that specializes in Indian Kundan jewelry. It does weigh a lot, but I love it. The earrings are so heavy you can only wear them for about 2 hours. My necklace set was also custom made – so between this and my dress I really felt like I was flying blind. lol!

I totally agree! I thought we’d get more pics on this thread! Come on Bees – show the dress regret before and after pics!

Me too! :)) I moved from the UK to the US about a year and a half ago. Please message me and tell me your impressions, I’m really curious what you think of living in the US so far.

What an amazing and unique look! It works absolutely perfectly with the dress you picked, and I love the bow in the back since you cant see the jewelry from behind it has a wow factor from every angle!
Your pictures are seriously gorgeous. I wish my Fiance was from India!

Wow, you look stunning! I remembr seeing your dress on here before and liking it but I’m so happy it all came together for you! Great story and congratulations on your wedding!
I did have dress regret, which at the time I didn’t realize was a thing. I really thought I was the craziest person ever, but after coming on here I realized it was seemingly normal. Anyway, I originally bought Hayley Paige Dori, and I was going to get it with the Josie skirt in ivory instead. (Here’s me in Dori and the model in Josie.)
Even before we left the salon I was freaking out because there was another dress at a different salon that I really liked, but I hadn’t had time to go back and try it on, and I was getting a good deal on the Dori/Josie combo that they wouldn’t hold if I took more time to decide. So, I went home and was super upset, and talked to EVERYONE about it. Ultimately I went to see the other dress as soon as that store opened agian, and decided I had to switch (after crying on a public bus in nyc LOL). Luckily the salon where I placed my original order was planning to carry the designer of the dress I wanted soon, so they were able to switch my order without a fee since I did it so quickly (bonus: the second dress was way cheaper!). So, it all worked out in the end and I’ve never had any regret after making this change. I knew it was the right thing! Here it is!

I love your dress so much!! It also looks like it has pockets? because bonus points!!!
I have found myself gravitating towards plain satin dresses as well, I’m not sure why my mind doesn’t heart eyes at lace. Because it’s so dang pretty and satin is hard to carry off, but you are naaaaaaaailing it!

Wow! Both of those dresses are gorgeous! But the onle you selected is so elegant and unusual! I’m glad you finally got the dress you wanted!
I really wanted to wear lace but I looked AWEFUL in it, and I do not regret wearing satin at all! However, satin is pretty heavy (which can get hot!). If you are getting married in the middle of summer, you might want to try on some organza gowns and see how you fel about them. Good luck!!

Thank you for sharing your experience! I am too getting dress regretty and I’ve been constantly going on the weddingbee boards looking at other brides and their pretty dresses and regretting that I didn’t get one in a different color, one a bit more blingy, and why didn’t I get trumpet or murmaid… etc. But I have to remember that I bought my dress in the first place because I loved the soft lace patterns in the store, and I wanted a no fluff dress that was simple with no bling!

I had dress regret and bought a new dress…. and then started having dress regret again. On my wedding day though, I felt more beautiful than I ever have!!!!!!
