Hi bees! This is my first thread started… and my wedding is in about a month!!
I never went shopping in a bridal salon, because I got intimidated and have a pretty small budget. So i was thrilled when I found a reem acra inspired dress online from china for about 150. When it came, it was perfect and I fell in love. I even replaced the beading on the cap sleeves with pearls to make it more custom and made a sash to go with our vintage casual theme. Now, with a month before the wedding and it not at all practical to find another dress, I am starting to get dress jitters. Maybe its seeing all these pretty dresses online, or watching TLC, but I am starting to wish I tried on other styles, like all lace fit and flare, or ball gown, or whatever. Even though this is my original dream dress that I have! Or rather I have regret for not having the bridal salon “experience.” Can any other bees relate?
also, here is my dress. I know its a bit more cleavage than some people would be okay with, but we are having a very casual and not at all conservative wedding.

@marjane: I think it might just be the prewedding jitters since you are so close to your wedding date. I would quit looking at other gowns on Wedding Bee! 🙂 Your dress is gorgeous as is and what a great deal you got for getting a dress for $150! I am pretty sure you will feel differently when you put on the whole bridal ensemble on your wedding day! =)

OMFG you look amazing in your dress.
It’s common to have dress regret, especially if you didn’t have the whole bridal salon experience. But have confidence in the fact that your dress looks EXPENSIVE and DAMN girl, you look drop-dead gorgeous in it!

@MissGemini: Thank you!!! The one thing that always soothes me is the price 😉 Gotta stop browsing davids bridal.com….
@lovelylight99: thank you so much!! I didn’t try it on for a bunch of friends so the only people who have seen it are my sister and my mom… and they love it, but they’re family so of course they’re gonna say that 🙂 I really appreciate the boost!

Wow! I think you look amazing in that dress. It’s super romantic and pretty. I think you’re just getting nervous with the wedding quickly approaching. I can’t wait to see pictures of the wedding day!

I adore your dress! I was lusting after it for the longest time but couldn’t find one in my budget. It’s so romantic! I’m sure it’s just stress because I’m going through the same thing. Getting very close to the day now!
Don’t worry, you look absolutely lovely!

I would hide it away and not look at it or try it on until just before the wedding so it will feel “new” to you on your big day. If it makes you feel better, I did have the whole bridal salon experience, and the night I came home after buying my dress I had creeping “buyers remorse”… Feeling like “omg it is bought and done! Do I really like that dress???”! That passed though- its just jitters.

@MsSteelTea: It’s from lightinthebox.com… i think it’s meant to be a prom dress? LOL
Thank you so much for your encouragement… i think it’s definitely a good idea to hide it in a garmet bag, I am looking at it EVERY day. That’s a great tip!!
I’ll definitely share pics from the day 🙂

@marjane: You look gorgeous! I had a decent amount of clevage on show in my dress – if you’ve got it flaunt it I say. 🙂

Dress is gorgeous!!! You’re breaking the cardinal rule, don’t look at more dresses after you bought one! There are so many beautiful dresses you’re bound to love more than 1 but rest assured your dress looks amazing & you look amazing in it!!

You look amaaaaazing! Seriously! Just do yourself a favor and stop looking, ok? I also am not going to a bridal salon at all (also too frugal, plus I live in the boonies). While I hear ya about wondering about sillouettes, we just have to trust that our dresses look awesome and go with it.
