I actually think it’s really elegant on you, and it sort of provides a blank canvas you can work with. I would do a lace overlay as previously suggested, and some jewels to dress it up. And then for the reception, you could remove the lace bolero and do a sparkly sash.

I think it looks amazing on you. I’m with @lovelove1028, I would add a bolero for some lace and coverup, then you can take it off. I’m not a fan of sweetheart necklines so that I would leave the way it is! I

This dress so so elegant and simple that your bridal look is going to be all about the accessories. I’m not sure what your personal style is, but you could add a ton of things like a statement necklace, a blingy belt, a coloured sash or an eleborate veil. Of course you could also carry a very elaborate bouquet too. I’m not sure lace would look the best because of the shiny fabric, but it’s hard to judge from the photo.
How do you feel in the dress? Does it make you feel like a bride and can you see yourself walking down the aisle in it?
If it’s not your dream dress it’s okay to either sell it or chalk it up to doing something good for charity and get something else.

Thanks for the support guys! I loved it when I bought it but there are so many options out there it’s overwhelming… the thing I wish it did do was highlight my butt a little bit more but I might see what alterations I can do. I am planning on taking it to a sweetheart and going with a Hollywood glam/Art Deco wedding feel. You guys have some good ideas!

I think it looks great on you!! It is very simple though, maybe you could have some alterations done to the neckline to make it a bit more interesting?? I love, love the button detail!

@Razzlejones: totally honest- it’s plain but I think it’s very very pretty on you!!! You can do so much with a dress on the plainer side- sparkly belt- thick or thin, big bow in the back, or a sheer lace overlay for the top!! You can get cap sleeves or a little jacket or you can wear one of those pieces of body jewelry that goes down your back!!
If your budget is no object and you really dislike it then I would buy a new dress as a last resort, but this dress is such a nice style on you and such a blank canvas I think you could do lots with it to make it your own!!

I think it looks perfect on you. I wouldn’t add any belt, sash, etc.. But it all depends on your own personaly style. Looking at the pic, not knowing you or your typical fashion, etc., i think this looks sophisticated, figure flattering (big time) and rich.
good luck!

I would alter more form fitting all the way down to your knees, it will slightly look like a mermaid, but will help show off the bum area lol… Post pics on whatever u decide to do!!

Razzlejones: Your dress is very classic looking! I think if you add a bingy belt it will dismiss your dress regret! Besides, your figure can make a grocery bag look good!

Clean, simple, elegant are words that come to mind. I would keep it and jazz it up with a belt and nice jewellery.
