Just wondering if having dress regret is normal? Right after I purchased the dress I regretted it. That was a few months ago and when I look at pictures I really dislike it. When I bought it I was experiencing a lot of stress in my life and my mom placed a lot of pressure on me to get it… and I feel like I just gave in.
I have bought clothing in the past that I have LOVED and am so excited to wear. I feel like I should feel this way about my WEDDING dress. I am a fashion forward type of girl, and I feel like my dress is super cliche and boring and not “me”.
This is my dress below. Please give me some advice!

I’m actually not a fan of the dress. If you can afford it, I say go ahead and find a new dress. You can probably sell this one online to recoup some money!

I think it looks great on you, but I’m not a fan of the ruffles on the bottom. But with all the reasons you mentioned, if its in your budget, I say go try on more dresses. Maybe try your dress back on and see how you feel in it. Looking at pictures is a lot different than looking at yourself in the mirror with it on.

Ooh I actually really really like it. If I didn’t have a pot belly I’d love something a bit more fitted, but I think it’s really nice. I had the dreaded regret also, land have spent 6 months fretting and tooing and froing what I wanted to so and I decided it has to go. And if no one buys it I will just have to take the loss 🙁 dress regret is so common. The stress and pressure put on us by family friends and let’s not forget those sales assistants! To make a decision. I know I was swept away by the whole thing an before I know it I’d brought the dress right off the rack. Silly mistake! Iv regretted it ever since. Will be on the hunt soon for my new dress! Good luck with what u decide!

It is a good FIT. However, I do not care for the style.

I am in LOVE with that dress and it fits you like a glove. I really like the sweetheart neckline and the soft, romantic ruffles. I also really like the sash/belt. I think everyone experiences a bit of dress regret and it is totally normal. You look fantastic.

The belt portion of the dress makes it look inexpensive in my opinion. Do what will make you happy in the long run.

I personally can’t really get into the ruffles trend that’s going on right now, but it does seem to be becoming very popular and trendy. So if you’re trying to be ‘fashion forward’ I think you’re okay. 🙂
Like I said, not a fan of the ruffles myself, but your body looks great in that dress. <3

First, I do think the dress looks great on you and you will look stunning if you choose to keep it for your wedding day, however, you describe yourself as being fashion forward and I do not think the dress is fashion forward.

I think this dress is fine, but if you don’t love it and haven’t in the time since ordering it, I would get a different dress

I really like it but it’s your opinion that trumps everyone elses. How do you feel in it? If you don’t really like it then sell it and get one that makes you feel like a princess!

I agree with a few previous posters, I think the dress looks nice on you, but I don’t like the style personally.

I really like this dress! The floaty organza ruffles are so pretty! The only thing I don’t like is the belt. Since the ruching is so straight and geometric, I think you can get a belt that is a little more organic and flowery to balance it out. I would keep that dress!! You look amazing in it 🙂

It’s not my style – the ruffles are a bit distracting – but what matters is how you feel about it. It looks very pretty on you, but it sounds like you’re uncertain.

You do look great in this dress. I don’t think you could look bad in any wedding dress! I do think though that you’re right it is typical and doesn’t Wow me.
