I am normally not a fan of ballgowns, but I love how the Sottero & Midgley looks on you… and you can tell how much you love it because your smile is HUGE! I say go for it 🙂

@elw728 if you’re over budget and can’t finagle it, don’t worry about it! the lace dress looks absolutely beautiful on you, too. You’ll look stunning regardless of which dress you wear for sure!

elw728:  The other dress is lovely on you as well, however the ballgown just makes you glow… it looks like it was literally made for you.

elw728:  Which one do you like more? I think you should wear the one that makes you feel most beautiful and excited.

I voted for the ball gown because it looks great on you and the lace didn’t seem as flattering. But after reading in your post that the lace is 2-3 sizes too small I change my vote to lace. I agree with your mother and bridesmaids. It is timeless and classic. I think it is a beautiful dress.

Your biggest problem with the lace dress is that you are wearing it too low. The one you are wearing is not your size or it would be great!

Ballgown! I do not want to bash the A-line because quite frankly I am horrible with my Left vs Right so I don’t know which one is already your dress. But, the ball gown for sure is the winner.

I love the ballgown and for sure, your beaming smile sets it off perfectly too! If money were not a concern then I’d probably say go for it.

However, your lace dress is also gorgeous and I am sure that once you get the right size and it fits perfectly, you’ll be much more confident about it being the right choice. It’s always hard to get a true impression when a dress doesn’t yet fit properly.

While I do love ballgowns (including this one) I think that the belt on the lace one really nips you in at the waist. I also think that you should stick with whatever you have always pictured yourself in. I also had HUGE dress regret (many tears and long emails to friends were involved) but in the end I stuck with my original dress because it was what I have always thought my wedding dress would be like and I’m so glad I did. Looking back, if I had gone with a new dress I would have felt like I was trying too hard or something… not like myself on my wedding day. Having said that, you look beautiful in both dresses (as you can tell by the poll at the moment) so go with whatever you think will bring you the most happiness, and then DISTROY ALL PHOTOS OF THE DRESS YOU DECIDE AGAINST SO YOU DON’T KEEP THINKING ABOUT IT.
