If you loved it enough to buy it the first time, are you sure its really the wrong dress?

Can you post a pic of you in the dress?

I had the hardest time finding a dress because I literally loved every dress I put on. It was kinda crazy. I now know that dresses aren’t like husbands, there is definitely more than one meant for you!

im right there with you! I bought a dress that i like enough, i thought it was beautiful and i tried it on twice, 2 different times. but after buying i also joined the bee and i see all these beautiful dressesand it makes me wish i would have waited longer. Unfotunately for me i cant sell or return, i just dont have the time. but i have figure out a way to alter it so i like it more, im going to have them sweeheart the neckline more than it is and im going to have them dip the back into a V shape because i feel like it makes my butt look big haha! but i have learned to love my dress and everytime im at my moms i sneak up there and try it on and each time i come up with new ideas on how to make i more me…Good Luck! you are not alone in this ๐Ÿ™‚

I had the EXACT same problem. Only went to 2 shops in one day and only tried on 4 dresses. I hated my dress for so long after I bought it only because I thought I should have kept looking. And the weddingbee didnt help because there were SO many other pretty dresses that I wish I would have tried on.

Anyways, here I am only a while later and Im back in love with my dress. So eventually you might grow to love it again. Think about the things that attracted you to it and you might have a change of heart.

Your gown looks lovely on you, and I think that once your gown is sized to fit you, you will like it, if not love it, much better. If you want it to flare out more like the model’s picture, have the seamstress add some tulle skirting to the bottom of your gown and/or try on some flared crinolines to find the look you are going for.

i think it looks amazing on you. i def think once you get the dress and have it altered you will like it more, i would just make sure its tigheter on your chest..you could possibly get a crinoline skirt…something like this to poof it out ont he bottom

The dress is beautiful.  I’m sure you will look amazing when it’s your size.  But you are the one who has to love it.  I am going through the same situation.  I hope it works out for you.

it looks great on you! if you want it less poofy, have the seamstress cut out some of the layers of crinoline. then she can take in the sides a little so it’s tighter around your thighs. mrs. hot wings had her a-line dress altered into more of a trumpet shape…it’s not that difficult!

I think that dress looks fabulous on you.  Once its altered, hair makeup, accessories I’m sure you will love it.

I am having semi-dress regret as well.  I can’t stop thinking about this lace gown (i never thought I would love a lace gown) that I tried on.  ๐Ÿ™  I’ve paid half on my dress though, so I’m sucking it up. Frown

No one else has mentioned this specifically, so maybe it’s a “duh” statement, but stop looking! Don’t troll websites, stores or the internet. You bought a dress, it’s gorgeous, it looks great on you, so why torture yourself? I bought my dress on my first and only dress shopping trip and couldn’t be happier that the ordeal is over. ๐Ÿ™‚
