I purchased my wedding dress back in November and my wedding is in September. It is a Sophia Tolli dress. I hadn’t shopped around at all (this was the first store I went to) but I purchased the dress anyway. I’m not sure if I genuienly felt like it was “the one” or I felt pressured to purchase something because the shop owner is a friend of a good friend and she was so nice and spent several hours with us. I remember thinking the night that I purchased it, maybe I should have shopped around a little first.
I am a little concerned because my dress isn’t supposed to come in until late July….which already makes me a bit nervous. I wish I could see it again – I truly recall it being much more beautiful in person than my phone photos. I haven’t seen it since I bought it in November. I remember immediately thinking that while the dress looked beautiful on, it didn’t seem to photograph as well.
Do you think I would have time to find a second dress somewhere? Should I?
While I love the back of the dress I’m not sure how I feel about the front anymore.
Obviously it will be altered to accuentuate my chest area a little more so I won’t look as “flat” but I just don’t know if that’s the main reason I don’t seem to like it as much as I once did.

It looks beautiful!
We all have some kind of dress regret.
Go try on the sample again, I’m sure that will fix that doubt.
Photos on phones are not the same as a professional picture.
Try not to stress the dress looks beautiful on you!!

It is a beautiful dress! I Love both the front and back. You may be cutting it a bit close to get a 2nd dress but I’m sure you’ll be much happier when you’re able to put on the fully altered dress and putting on your veil and getting hair and makeup done will make a huge difference!

It’s a very pretty dress. You’ll definitely feel better about trying it on in real life compared with seeing a photo. And once it’s been altered it’ll look better again.

It’s a lovely dress. When it’s actually fitted to your body and not clamped on I think you will be very pleased.

The dress is gorgeous! Once it’s altered and fits you, I think you’ll like it a lot more. Keep in mind it’s only for one day, you’ll look and feel beautiful no matter what, and there’s always going to be a more gorgeous dress in a budget larger than the ones we have haha!

I had dress regret too. I think it’s normal.
My sister had serious dress regret and ended up buying a new dress six weeks before the wedding! Lol

It’s a beautiful dress! I’ve read so many posts here about women feeling regret after not seeing their gown for a while. I think you will be happy once you try it on again in July.

Thank you so much, everyone! I didn’t realize how common “dress regret” actually is, but I searched around the Bee and realized this is NOT unusual at all.
I just don’t feel like the iPhone photos do it justice, and I remember thinking that when I was sending the pictures to friend/family. I think I will feel a lot better when I try it on in July- and this time, I’ll be wearing appropriate undergarments, and my chest won’t look as flat either.
I REALLY appreciate the comments/feedback. The dress was not cheap and I really didn’t want to buy another dress if I didn’t have to. I think I’m probably feeling regret because I haven’t seen it in so long, and right now I’m relying on crummy iPhone photos to remember it.
I also found professional photos of the dress, and it reflects the much more shimmery/glittery dress that I remember.
Thanks for putting me at ease, Bees 🙂
