Forfeit your deposit and get the dress you want

Pay Balance on original dress, try to sell it. If it sells get the dress you love, if not wear it.

Stick with the dress you ordered

ladysugarbear:  I remember a previous post where you asked which dress we liked better and I think the majority said dress #2 looks the best on you. It flatters your figure in so many ways. Go with that one.

How much of a deposit (percentage) did you put down on dress #1?

I’m a big proponent of wearing your dream dress, after all it IS your wedding! But I voted for the one you already bought because it is beautiful!! It doesn’t look drastically different from the simpler one and the shape looks amazing on you. It also doesn’t look like it takes the focus off of you at all. It’s very flattering and feminine!

Dress #2 looks like a breath of fresh air!! I’m sure your fiance will love whichever dress you choose 🙂 Go with what your heart desires

I prefer how dress #1 looks, both on you and in and of itself.  That said.. it doesn’t even matter what i think.  Do what makes you happy!

Depending how big your deposit was, you might be better off selling the dress vs. walking away.  You can always post stock photos on used wedding dress sites (and let people know it’s so unaltered and new it hasn’t even arrived yet!) and see if anyone bites…

    Girl are you mad?

The first dress is absolutely not distracting from how FLIPPING GORGEOUS you look. I would stay with your first dress simply based on the fact how it emphasizes your body shape and flatters you. It’s your dress, of course, and you have the freedom to do as you feel more comfortable, but in all seriousness that dress is such a keeper.

I like dress #1 better, but it seems like everyone likes both dresses.  How much would you lose for the deposit?   Could that money go toward your veil/bridesmaid dresses, etc?

Honestly, I absolutely love the first dress it is stunning on you. However if you really feel it is not the dress for you I think the most reasonable option would be to try and sell it so as not to lose a ridiculous amount of money.

ladysugarbear:  I think Dress 1 is just way nicer and more special than Dress 2. Get what makes you feel good though, this is just the opinion you asked for!

Both dresses are beautiful, and only you can decide what is right for you, but the first dress makes you look AMAZING. I find it more flattering than the second.

Another vote for dress 1.  It is still pretty simple but definitely has a “vavavoom” flavor to it.
