You know how you read all these stories about dress regret and never think it will happen to you…well it happened to me. When I went out dress shopping I was really looking for something that had a dropped waist and a full bottom, preferably satin. I liked very plain, almost no beading or embellishment. I ended up with a lace mermaid dress with flower appliques and rhinestones everywhere!. I’m just so confused because lately I have been looking at other dresses and regretting my decision.
I feel that my dress looks too sparkly and secondly I feel that it makes my hips look super wide. Am I just being crazy? Should I go and try on dresses again in the original style I wanted or just wait until my dress comes in and hopefully my regret will go away?
And of course a picture of my dress..

I tried on this EXACT dress and showed pictures to people to ask them what they though. I looked pretty much just like you do in the dress. EVERYONE I asked said that it made me look like a bombshell knock out! 🙂 I think you look incredible! This isn’t the dress that I am going with, but it really did help me figure out what worked with my body. This dress makes you look very curvy and hour glass shaped, which to me is awesome! But if you don’t like it then it is NOT the dress for you!

Oh my goodness, you have such a lovely hourglass shape. It’s beautiful! And you look so happy in the pic. My momma always said “Don’t focus on the what if’s, remember the even if’s” Even if you see other dresses you like, you are going to be a gorgeous bride in a gorgeous dress!

I agree with it being too sparkly, I’m not a fan of sparkles or mermaid dress, but your hips are def not too big! You have a great figure.
I think if you have the $$ it won’t hurt to look for your dream dress you have the time.
You can always try to sell this one.

I think you look beautiful in your dress as well as it being a beautiful dress. you are probably just having a hard time getting over that it is not exactly what you had your mind set on what you thought you wanted. but try to remember what made you choose this dress to begin with. did you try on dresses in the other style? there must have been a reaon you chose this over the others!
@swanks4tw your mom’s saying is great!!

That dress looks gorgeous on you and you look so happy! I think almost all of us have dress regret, it’s totally normal.
It may make you feel better to try on the original style you wanted, that way you will know for sure! Also, don’t feel badly, there are so many gorgeous dresses out there these days, how could a girl not like more than one?!
You look stunning though, and I am certain your Fiance would agree!

I’m having dress ENVY!!! Your dress is gorgeous and it’s perfect on your figure!!! I think you will feel better about it once it comes in and you can put it on again, you had to have loved it at some point to have wanted to buy it. It really is stunning, I hope you keep it!

Thanks for your encouragement ladies. It already makes me feel better.
@goldengrlbride: I think you’re exactly right. Because the dress isn’t always what I envisioned I’m having trouble accepting that. Hopefully once I get the dress in I will feel better.

This is the Maggie Sottero Barcelona, correct? It looks so pretty on you!! I like it so much better than the fit and style of the dresses from your original dress post. 🙂

@PuntaCanaBride: No!! Don’t have regrets. I love it on you.
@goldengrlbride: you are probably just having a hard time getting over that it is not exactly what you had your mind set on what you thought you wanted. Great advice

Your dress doesn’t look good…
…It looks bleeding AMAZING!

It does not make your thighs look huge! It just looks awesome 🙂
If you are concerned with it being too much, an easy fix would be to remove the large flower at the waist. That is the only thing I dislike about the dress. Otherwise, it is perfect on you!
