@Beeloved86:  I personally love the A Line dress better.

The style of the dress is more interesting and looks perfect on you. The mermaid dress is missing something. I feel that it doesn’t compliment your figure.

If you are having serious doubts then exchange it. Put it this way in the case that something happens and you don’t reach your weight goals the A line dress looks amazing now and it will look amazing on your wedding day. Plus if it was the dress you really wanted than go with your instinct. It sounds like you bought the first dress on an impluse.

Don’t talk yourself into liking your dress.

I personally like the L9479 in the link. I think the different directions in the ruching will be very figure flattering and its a great price!

I prefer the mermaid. It is more distinctive, and I think looks sexier on your body.  It is a much more unique dress.  The A-line is a very common shape, and it may be that I am discounting it because I am personally not a fan of the pick-ups or voluminous skirt.

I agree with shapewear, fitting, and it sounds as though your body may naturally let go of some weight, which will all help with feeling confident in your chosen dress.  Although I think it looks great on you as you are – you look like a woman!

Well I am partial to organza fabric.  I think its the best for weddings after trying on 30+ gowns.  The organza ball gown looks good on you in my opinion.  i do like the mermaid but not the top portion of it.  There is another mermaid style by David’s Bridal that is very similiar but it doesn’t have the same beading on top.  Instead it has a little strip of beading and a bow on side of skirt.  The bow is actually cute on the dress.  I tried it on and even though it was simple it was gorgeous too.  You should try that one on…I have big boobs as well but had to take their bra off b/c it did me the same way.  If I would have picked it I would have went braless (it held up very well) or get cups sewn into it.

I personally like the first dress on you better.

However, from experience, you HAVE to choose the dress that you feel the best in.

I bought a dress for $300 which I was super stoked about… and I actually think the price talked me into it. It was a pretty dress but it had a dropped waist and I’ve recently put on a lot of weight. I didn’t feel beautiful in the dress, I didn’t get emotional, and I questioned my decision constantly.

I went dress shopping again. This time I found a gorgeous, flattering dress that I absolutely loved. It was $1,200 and I now have 2 wedding dresses. It sounds ridiculous (hoping to sell the 1st one) but I wouldn’t trade the bridal feeling for anything. And it’s not worth the money to not feel confident on my wedding day.

Choose what you feel beautiful in.

Personally, I think that the a-line dress is the most flattering on you.  However; I think you need to go with whichever one you feel most comfortable with and the one you LOVE.  The last thing you want is to regret your dress later on!

I think that the A-line looks better too.. but you know, you should pick the dress that you instinctively wanted.  Don’t stick with one that you don’t have chemistry with!  It doesn’t matter what other people think anyway, you need to find the one that’s right for you!  I think that the idea that you had for your dress is perfect.

I like dress #1 It looks beautiful on you! The a-line is very flattering. You won’t have to worry about posing in the right way and trying not to worry about having to tone-up just to make a dress look better. You have a lovely shape and should not have to change just for a dress. Just my opinion. With that being said, my opinion doesn’t mean squat. Go with your heart! Don’t listen to anyone else except your gut feeling. If you love the mermaid, go for the mermaid. You should feel beautiful and glamourous on your speacial day! So deep down which dress makes you happy? You are the one who has to wear it. Best of luck!!!

I love the Aline, but I would also check out the “Adeline Marie” from Maggie Sottero – it looks very similar to that but is in LUSCIOUS satin, not loud taffeta.  Adeline Marie comes in both fabrics.  Good luck!
