@TessaZ:  posting to follow! Do you mind sharing how much you paid? I considered the Burnadette but I’d love to hear how much you saved by getting it custom-made!

I’ve done the same, i have purchased my dress from an eBay seller from China. I knew it was a gamble but one that would pay off big time if they did a good job.

They were charging $299 for the dress plus $50 delivery. I figured worse case scenario i don’t like it and i can sell it and aim to get my money back then go buy another dress somewhere else where i can actually see what i’m buying.

The dress that it was inspired from is an amazing designer dress which i believe might be from Elie Saab and looking at it would cost easy around $15,000 to $20,000. It has a crystal encrusted bodice and full lace skirt with a 1.5mtr train and an additional train on top of it that has crystals all along the egdes and in the middle forming an oval shape that follows the lace work.

The whole dress is super bling and very different to all the wedding dresses i found when i started looking.

I just got it last week and all i can say is WOW!!! I am sooooo glad i took the gamble. There is some slight flaws like TessaZ mentioned about the lace applique been visible where it’s joined and one side of the overlay train is oddly cut which i think can be easily fixed. The only real thing was that the diamontie pendant at the bottom of the front of the dress has a part that broke off while in transit but again, it’s something simple that can be fitted.

I haven’t tried it on yet as it’s so heavy and has a lace up back so i need help plus i am waiting for the petticoat to arrive from another supplier.

I will post photos as soon as i can but in the mean time all i can say is if you are considering it i would do it. You’ll save hundreds of $$$$ and at worst you’ve lost a few hundred dollars but at least you’re not left wondering.

TessaZ, you’re dress looks beautiful, the lace and beading are amazing. The things you’ve pointed out are slight things that i think probably won’t cost too much to fix and at the end of the day you’ve still saved heaps of money.

Thank you for posting up your experience. I know i did alot of researh and was super hesitant at first but i’m so glad i did it now!

I’ll post my experience and photos as well as the details of the ebay seller in the next few days.
