- Wedding: June 2014
Ok, I know I’m not getting married until next year, but I just get too excited 🙂 My Maid/Matron of Honor lives way out of town from me, and after April I’m moving to another province for a year, so this may have been the last time I would see her for quite a bit.
She had come into town to run some errands and see me (first time we’ve gotten together since I got engaged) and she just loves weddings. She told me we should just go out and try one wedding dresses. I said no, feeling like it was way too soon. However, this may have been the only time we could do this together, so I decided I would just go.
It was a lot of fun and I’m glad I did it! I was thinking I would just get mine off the internet, but being in the boutique and getting to see what they look like on, get the feel of it (they are heavy!) and be able to giggle like teens as I came out in each dress was such a good experience. I found one that I really, like reaaaally loved (approx $1300) and it had such a nice fit. I wish I could’ve gotten it right there, but I know there are others. At least I know what my style is now. (and doesn’t it seem wedding dresses just all look ugly on the hanger, and as soon as you put it on it’s amazing??)
I just had to share that. Now I’m torn, but I had such a good time and it was nice to be able to see it and try it on, and deal with such a professional lady (she owns the whole place, has no staff) that I will seriously consider buying from a boutique. What were your ladies experiences? Any surprises from trying on dresses?
