I bought my dress last JUNE but didn’t get to talk about it so here I am….
They say: You will know when you have found the perfect dress, this time when you gaze in the mirror you will see a beautiful, beaming bride. SO TRUE! and I felt like I was destined to find it and made just for me.
I thought my gown shopping will be stressful because I’m a type of person who wants to see everything that is out there before making a decision. When I went to the bridal shop I brought 5 printouts of the gown I wanted to try. The owner laid out 5 dresses (3 from my prinout and 2 were her suggestion basing on my printouts). I tried on the gown which I think is the best from that 5 selection and the moment I put it on I felt that feeling that you’ll know when you found the one and I did on my first gown. I was on it for more than 5 mins but tried on 15 other dresses to make sure I found the “one”. In the end, I chose the frist gown I tried on.

sad but true, i bought it like I do everything else in my life. checked the fit, checked the style, twirled a bunch. no big emotional well up….it was pretty practical for me

I would say “yes” and “no” to the poll if I could. I had a “this is it” feeling when I put my dress on, but I was also stuck on two other dresses. It wasn’t until I went back with my Maid/Matron of Honor that it became obvious that my dress was the best of the three.

Mine was TOTALLY emotional!
I went dress shopping early (only a week after getting engaged) I went with my best friend because she wanted to do it together (she is also engaged) so I went with an open mind thinking it would just be fun and give me some ideas. The first shop I went to I tried on 10 dresses and I found nothing. The next store the lady pulled a dress she thought I would like and everyone with us gasped when they saw it. When I tried it on the first reaction I got was everyone I was with and they all said WOW – then I saw myself and started to tear up – it was then I knew it was the one!
I haven’t bought it yet b/c it is still early – but I will!
Congrats on finding the one!

I said no because I thought I had found the dress online, I was convinced it was perfect and on the day I went to try it I fell head over heels in love with a different one. When I tried on the original one I liked online it was awful…which left me wide open for my new crush…but after a few weeks of thinking about it I realized that it wasn’t for me! I found a dress…and rather than just liking it I felt like jelly in it, like I couldnt stop smiling because something about it was so right, even if I was skeptical about a couple of things…So after day dreaming at my third love, I went with it…Third time is a charm and when in doubt go with C 🙂

how can you not have doubts when there are so many beautiful dresses to choose from? it’s like choosing a favorite cheese 🙂

I haven’t gone dress shopping yet, but I’m so nervous about it – I am such an indecisive person, and I’m already pretty overwhelmed by the options out there. I really hope that I just KNOW when I try it on!

I said yes, but I also wanted a “yes and no” option. My dress was the 2nd I tried on, but I ended up trying on more after it and then going back and forth. I had very specific criteria for my dress that I wanted to meet and MY dress met it all, but being me I “had to be sure” and try on more.

I tried on 3 dresses. The first was hideous. The 2nd everyone else said was the one, but I knew wasn’t. The 3rd, everyone else said, no, this is the one, and I agreed right away! It was love at first sight.
