Unfortunately I don’t have great advice but I am wearing an Anjolique dress, which I got at an amazing Brooklyn boutique, so I wanted to comment on your post! I LOVE my dress, and am wondering what styles you looked at. Mine hasn’t come in yet, but is due in June or so. Did you, by any chance, go to The White Gown (that’s where mine is from)? If you haven’t tried Lotus Bridal, also in Brooklyn, but a bit farther out, they have TONS of beautiful samples in all different sizes (and many for under $1,000) and the girls there are just lovely. I may go there if you’re in the area, or at least call and ask if they have what you’re looking for. They are so very helpful. Good luck!

Just a suggestion, but I did find it helpful to know the venue before I picked the dress. Of course you could always pick the venue based on what you picked for the dress πŸ™‚ Good luck!

Why don’t you want to go to Kleinfeld?  I had an awesome experience there, my consultant was so patient and helpful and kind, absolutely the best.  And I know they stock a decent range of sizes in many dresses compared to the average bridal salon, so unless you’re working with an under $1.5k budget…why not?

Hi There!

Totally got my dress at The White Gown, they were sooo sooo sweet. I think you should defintely try Lotus Bridal, it’s on Avenue U in Brooklyn. Grab the “B” or “Q” train and get off at Avenue U walk towards Ocean Avenue and you’ll see it. It’s probably one or 2 blocks away from the train station. πŸ™‚ Hope it works out!
