At my first appointment I only took my mom and my grandmother. At my second appointment, the one where I bought me dress, I took my mom, my grandmother, and one of my aunts.

My Mom and my step-father. Luckily, my Mom’s only real comments were pertaining to how I looked good in everything and it was making it hard for her to decide what she liked best (all in good fun). There was one dress she wasn’t a fan of (that was initially the front runner, until I found the one). She didn’t tell me until after I chose mine that it wasn’t her favorite (though she said I looked great in it).

Only three people have (or will) see the dress before the wedding. My brother, my step-niece, and my Future Mother-In-Law. All of them really liked it a lot (and it was after the decision, so the opinions wouldn’t have conflicted me).

That show is horrifying sometimes. I watched every episode on Netflix. It was the horrible entourages that bothered me as well (other than the prices, and those Pnina faerie stripper horrors).

zero.  Went on my own and bought the second dress I tried on without consulting anyone.  At first  was a little sad my mom couldn’t be there.  But it really was the best decision I ever made.

I agree large entourage is always bad. The first time, I took my mom, Future Mother-In-Law and sister. The second time I went with sister and a Bridesmaid or Best Man.

I only had one friend with me. I wish my mom could have come, but she lives in TX 🙁 I did send her pics of the dresses I tried on.

Went for fun with my 2 sisters to DB and hated that experience, went by myself at another boutique and loved it (prefer solo most times when shopping), plan to visit another and my Maid/Matron of Honor invited herself, but overall would prefer to be myself, my entourage is very opininated and it would just be too much of a long day arguing points and it would be exhausting.

At my first appointment I only took my mom. She’s the only person whose opinion I really trust. At my second fitting I brought along a few people and I felt totally overwhelmed, so the less people the better.

I brought my mom, my sister, my aunt, my grandma, and a bridesmaid. More people than chairs! But I wouldn’t have gone without my aunt (never married and is a second mom) or grandma because it was so important to them or my bridesmaid and sister (I trust their judgement– they have no problem telling me I look fat). And my mom just had to be there. She lives for this stuff.

Honestly, there was no drama and no stress. My mom and aunt loved one dress, but it was quietly pointed out to them by my sister that it was so far from my style that there wasn’t a shot. They all fell in love with my pick the second time I put it on.

My first 2 appointments i took my mom, sister and Future Mother-In-Law. For my last appointent just my mom and sister. I didn’t want too many opinions, wanted to decide on my own, my mom and sister were just moral support
