Your seamstress should be able to sew cups into your dress for you during alterations!  That’s what mine did.  Because my dress also has a low back and any strapless bra would have looked horrible with my dress!

Edit:  I would recommend having your “undergarments” picked out before alterations…ie Spanx if you’re wearing it.  I wouldn’t say the Spanx are necessary to know before dress shopping though…but definitely need to know before alterations.  LOL I have to say that the “undergarments” I am wearing are pretty much the furthest thing from sexy lingerie.

I brought a strapless bra with me to try on dresses, but the dresses ended up fitting better without a bra.  I am a Dirty Delete and was amazed at the support most dresses had. It will definetly be the only time in my life I have ever gone bra-less.

I wear a 32 H. I get away with a 32 G in a strapless bra. I only took a regular strapless bra to my fitting. I figured they wouldn’t have a longline bra in my size. I didn’t have any problems trying on dresses. As far a low back dress I’m unable to wear a dress like that because I haven’t found a bra I could pull that off with. I say try to have your bra for your dress shopping.

I’m a 34dd/e and I brought astrapless bra and never wore it. I too was surprised at the support most strapless dresses offered. I’m thrilled I won’t have to wear a bra on the wedding day!

I’m a DDD and brought a strapless bra with me but ended up not using it.  The store had a longline bra in my size so I ended up trying on dresses with that (and bought the bra), it worked great with lower back dresses, the dress I bought ended up on the lower side (too low for a regular strapless bra) and I had no problems with that bra.

I thought I was going to avoid strapless dueto my DDD status.  However when I put on my dress it was so well made that it held the girls up amazingly! I actually took my bra off and wore it around the store without!!! I was surprised and so pleased! When you find the right dress it will hold em up 🙂

I am a 40D and the places i went dress shopping they had strapless corset bras to wear to try on dresses. They just asked me my size and broght one in for me. It wasn;t a perfect fit but it worked just fine. Of course then i had to find the perfect bra before I could get my dress altered.

I have big boobs, 36E/F and I have found that something with straps or one strap is much better as it lifts them off my stomach hahaha I find that without a bra, in a strapless dress I end up with some kind of hideous monoboob which flattens out & I don’t like it at all!

I got a disastor dress from china and those puppies where right under my chin….which also wasn’t a good look. I WISH THEY WERE SMALLER!!!
