So I had my first dress shopping experience on Monday. I went to two really nice small shops, followed by a trip to DB. I walked in thinking I knew exactly what I wanted. I brought pics of styles. I tried on things similar to what I wanted, and they looked awful on me. Then I tried on a couple that were the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted. And they looked fabulous. But they don’t fit with the theme or feel of what I have always pictured for my wedding. Now I don’t know what to think! I’m going again today to try more (including a second trying on of one particular gown that I loved) hoping to get more clarity.
Did anyone else have this problem?

I can relate. I went in looking for a particular style and wound up buying something I would of never thought I’d love! I went in looking for a romantic lace mermaid style and bought a sweetheart top mermaid dress with unique assymetrical organza layers at the bottom. I definately suggest to keep on looking! I went to about 5 bridal boutiques tried on tonsss of dresses. Remember to keep an open mind. If the bridal consultant suggests a dress and it isn’t exactly what you had in mind … try it anyway! That’s how I found my dress.

Well, I went to two more shops today. And it really didn’t help. haha! It threw in 3 more dress styles that I didn’t know I’d like. ugh! But at least I did rule out one gown that I’d tried on before that I thought I loved. So as of right now there are 5 dresses I’m rolling around in my brain. Yikes!
