I went shopping start to finish by myself – I live out of state and had no one to go with (not that I wanted to drag anyone else along anyway) so I just did it all solo. Really wasn’t a big deal 🙂

I went on my own partly because I live too far from my mum and fmil and my bridesmaids were also spread across the country! I actually really enjoyed it, I could spend the time on exactly which dresses I liked without trying to please everyone else’s tastes. I took them after to show them what I’d chosen and try a few for comparison and they loved it!

I personally like shopping on my own so I can take my time and let things absorb plus I have 8 bridesmaid with different opinions and styles would make it more difficult to commit to a dress. What I found helpful was doing my research online and narrowing down specific dresses I wanted to try on. Then I found where each dress was and made appointments. Typically salons have more openings during the weekday and you don’t feel as rushed so you can try on other dresses in the store.
