Hi Eco-Chic,

I think I will be ordering my dress online.  I have been reading thread after thread about other bees that ordered their dresses online.

I think I am going with a dhgate seller (China’s Ebay).  Their store front is BestDavid.  Another bee ordered a wonderful custom dress from them.

Good Luck.

I bought my Badgley Mischka dress from yourdreamdress.com.  I wish that they sold more than just wedding gowns because I would be a regular customer.  I highly recommended Angela and team.  I purchased 2 dresses and was able to return one since it didn’t fit.  Check them out.

I bought a very inexpensive dress, which I love, from The Limited. They have a decent return policy and frequently offer coupons.

Honey I got everything but the wedding cake online. And I do mean EVERYTHING! My dress, hat, jewelry, boots, Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, flowers, invites, well, everything! I HATE shopping but I love new stuff, shopping online has been a godsend! The only thing I buy in person any more is groceries and if I could get them online, I would do it!

The first wedding dress I ordered online was supposed to be a replica and it came out horribly! But the dress I got off eBay fit me perfectly!

I just got my dress from Macy’s (daytime informal wedding) and I love it.  I may keep looking, but this one fits our bbq reception…

I also bought my Anne Barge from http://www.yourdreamdress.com.  I agree that the service was excellent and they do have a reasonable return policy.

When you say on-line, that covers a lot of bases. You could be talking about the pre-owned route (many dresses are never worn), the samples and runway samples (like yourdreamdress), the regular on-line stores (Pearl’s, Jay’s, etc.) or replica dresses.

There is a ton of info here on the replica dresses.  Many brides are happy but most seem disappointed.  Do your research.

A full price on-line store may be less expensive than your local salon, but I would always give the local place the opportunity to meet the price.  They may also be able to work it out with accessories or alterations, both of which add considerable expense.  I like to support local, small businesses whenever possible (and no local store would have sold me an Anne Barge dress for what I paid for it).
