I went to my 5th bridal salon last night to try on dresses and I think I found my dress! (or two of them). There was one I absolutely LOVED at the salon (and still loved in pictures) and there was another one that once I saw the pictures, I really liked too.
So help me choose! I’m not telling you which one is my favorite. I’d love to hear your opinions as well as see your votes. Note, neither are zipped up all the way in back as they are too small. So that is why they are sitting out from my chest a bit.
Dress 1: Satin Top w/ Organza Overlay Bottom
Dress 2: Silk Satin

I love, love, love the first one.

first one! the sash around the waist is so flattering. the second one just has too much going on on the bottom and doesn’t accent your waist at all.

I love them both, but I love the details on the first one! The second is still super flattering, though!

Dress 1. The second one is too plain at the top but too busy at the bottom so looks unbalanced.

Ok… now I’m SO confused. Dress 2 was by far and away my favorite as will as FMIL’s and one Bridesmaid or Best Man. I didn’t want to take it off.
Dress 1 only came back into the running because it looked so good in the picture.
I am really glad I’m going to try them on again in a few weeks. Maybe I can drop some weight so they will zip all the way up.
Dress 2 doesn’t come in sizes, they custom make it to your measurements when you order, so it would fit like a glove.
There’s also the option of adding some detail to the top of dress 2. This would be the detail:

I origionally liked dress one but adding the detail to dress two would sway me.

I like number two both ways, I’m biased though because the last photo you posted with the detail is the dress I think I am getting so I’m quite a fan 😉 You can check my post about it! Aren’t they great there?!

@BrideToBeIsMe: Oh wow! I remember seeing your thread. Her dresses FEEL so great don’t they?
I really liked that dress too, and the skirt isn’t as fully/heavy once once you have it on. I was completely impressed by how light it all felt.
The salon was also SUPER fantastic. I think no matter which dress I get, it’ll be great and I really want to support that salon.

The only reason I don’t like dress 2 is because the hem seems to be ‘pinned’ at your waist – like a front bustle or something. The top looks great on you though, and the shape, but I keep getting hung up on that. If you didn’t want to take it off though, you’ll totally rock it!

@KatNYC2011: You really can’t go wrong with any of them, I don’t see a flaw! You are right, the dress felt amazing – I didn’t want to take it off either! The skirt just felt like a lot in length because I am 5’4 and not meant for a sample length.
I can’t wait to go again next weekend! I am going a bunch of other places but booked them as my last appointment. I feel like I was totally spoiled and I am going to hate feeling rushed at places like kleinfeld’s.

Both dresses are beautiful, but I’m partial to the first because I love the romantic/flowy feel.
However, you have to get the one that you like the best. People are always going to have different opinions. I LOVED my dress, but some people probably didn’t like it because it was a ballgown. That’s ok. I’m the one who wore it 🙂

i love dress #1 and it seems like it goes a bit better with the feel of your wedding (from what i know of it). but honestly you look great in both and you know how they feel on. i think it wil be good to have a few weeks off and then go try them again. are the other dreses you tried on earlier all out of the running now?
p.s. what salon is this?

LOVE LOVE LOVE #1!!! It is beautiful on you!

I love the first one, and actually didn’t like the second one at all until you started adding some detail. Now I am torn 🙁
