Most appointments run an hour or an hour and a half. I was worried that wouldn’t be enough time, but I’ve gone to 6 different stores and I’ve never needed more than an hour. It helps if you’re alone and you don’t have to come out in every dress to show other people. 95% of the dresses I tried on I knew immediately weren’t the one so I was in and out of them quickly. Now that I’m down to my top three picks, I’m having my mom, sister, and Future Mother-In-Law come to help me make my final decision.

Usually when you make an appointment you don’t ask for a certain amount of time, they give you an hour and a half (if they aren’t busy they may let you go longer, but a Saturday would probably be busy). Honestly, after an hour and a half of trying on dresses, I was ready to be done. Two stores in one day is probably good, I wouldn’t do more- it can be exhausting.

I brought my mom with me every time and it was nice to have someone else looking at it, although I knew for myself most of the time if it “wasn’t me” or if I would keep it on the list.
