Okay so the title is a little untrue. I’ve found my dress and tried it on.I just want my mom to experience the shopping experience.
Here’s the situation. My parents are flying in from out of state today and I’ve made a dress appointment for tomorrow. Originally I wanted this to be a girls only event…just me and my mom. However I don’t want to leave my dad all by his lonesome when he’s traveled so far to see me and the Fiance. The Fiance has to work so a boys only outing is out of the question. My dad does like being involved with the wedding process and likes to share his ideas without being too pushy. BUT part of me wants to save the dress as a surprise for him so he can see his little girl all dolled up on her wedding day.
Should I make this girls only?
Would him coming along ruin the surprise of seeing me on my wedding day?

Yah ask him. My dad came once and liked it.

Ask him what he wants to do 🙂 He’ll still love seeing you in the dress at the wedding, you won’t ruin the experience by bringing him dress shopping!

My dad came shopping with me (and to most of my fittings, actually). You’ll look so different with your hair and makeup and everything done… I don’t think it would make it less special!

I agree with asking him and finding out how he feels. My parents traveled for my dress shopping too and I asked him if he wanted to stay with the boys or come dress shopping. He actually wanted to come with us 🙂 And seriously, I am sure my dad has no idea what my dress looks like anymore LOL
