dress 4!!! looks soooooo good on you
dress 4!!! looks soooooo good on you
For some reason 2 just pops to me. It’s the first dress my eyes go to. I love it.
I adore dress 5!
2 or 5!
I like all the dresses on you! I can see why this is a tough choice! I think classic lace really fits your venue so dress 1 & 4 go nice but before that I actually voted dress 2…..
you cant really go wrong!
I chose 5… But also wanted to pick 2. They both look great! But 5 is a bit more romantic IMO
Everdeen: thank you so much! There were chairs in the room so I tried sitting in them. Also each one I tried on was an aline or a variation of it so it was easier to sit with the flowy bottom. They were all pretty light and easy to move in. She specifically chose dresses that were with lighter fabrics and not too much crinoline as I was not going for a “poof” factor.
mbee7: the color variation is that all the dresses are ivory or ivory over ivory but dress 5 is champaign with an ivory overlay. Ian actually thinking that whichever dress I pic I will go for the champaign with ivory With the exception of 2 which doesn’t come in the other color. I’m not sure if you can tell in the pictures but the champagn goes very well with my skin tone and everyone in the shop agreed. We’ll see what my mom and sister think on Saturday :).
I was all about 2 until I hit 5. Both are so gorgeous on you, but I think 5 just might edge it out!
I almost bought #5 myself-like went to the store to put down the deposit i was so sure of it. It also won a poll on posted on here when I couldnt decide between dresses. http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/which-dress-do-i-get/
My one recommendation is to try it on in person for a few very honest friends if you really love it–this is critical. This dress by far photographed the nicest of anything I tried on, but in person it just didnt work. I got told at the end the dress was amazing and looked great…but the dress was the focus when people looked at me, not me (the dress “wore you” was the comment the sales person and my friend made at the end). The sparkly belt really grabbed all the attention. Also, I tried it on a second time after eating lunch, and I bulged out right below the belt (super unflattering). I’m a more broad shouldered than you though, so that may be part of the issue since I do think you look great in it.
i love #4 on you personally. It really flatters your figure.
Emm85: Thanks for your take on it. It’s nice to hear what someone else who tried on the dress thought. That is one of my concerns. I will have my mom, sister, and one of my bridesmaids with me on Saturday so I will get their thoughts.
It’s interesting to see how split everyone is. My mom loves #2 and #5, and my sister loves #3 with the belt. I have a feeling when they are there in person it will help. I’m also down a few pounds already since I tried all of them on so maybe #5 will fit a little better. It was about a size too small so they really squeezed me into it, lol. #4 was actually too big, which is also one reason I liked it cause they can close the corset all the way and I still had room.
For that venue, dress 1 or 5 for sure! I love that dress 1 covers your shoulders a little bit. I am not a fan of strapless dresses because why spend all that moolah on a dress that is strapless? And I don’t think strapless dresses look good in close up pics. If you could get dress 5 with something pretty on your shoulders, you would be bangin!
5! 5 all the way, esp in that venue. OMG it’s so amazing on you! It literally took my breath away.
Nimmle02: Hmm, I think it depends on your decor and the level of formality. To me, dress 5 is for a more formal, evening wedding and dress 2 is for a more casual, fun wedding. I guess my best advice is to go try both of them on again and pick whichever one makes you feel best!
