I would recommend wearing something comfortable that you can easily get on and off, don’t do your hair up in something that will fall apart easily (you’ll get annoyed in .2 seconds when they keep messing up your hair), don’t wear a lot of makeup (it gets all over the dresses, yuck), and don’t wear crazy underwear because the person in the bridal salon is going to see you in them.  🙂

full bum underwear!

Hehe.  Also some socks of some sort, since all the salons I went in you had to take your shoes off.

Pen and paper to take notes on the dresses.  Heals the approx height you prob will wear your wedding day.  Hair clip.

Wear nude colored undies and a strapless bra!  It will make it easier to try on dress and to see how they will actually look.  You don’t want to get distracted by bra straps or hot pink undies 🙂

I second the “full coverage” undies comment. I made the mistake of wearing a thong and I would hate for anyone else to do the same.

1. strapless skin-colored bra

2. skin-colored, full-coverage undies. i also wore the little boy shorts from victoria’s secret over my undies. (one size fits all, apparently…)

3. mom/sister/bff who will take notes. make sure they write down the designer, style number, and size (if you try one on in a size that fits, which is doubtful…). that way, you can look on recycled bride or preowned wedding dresses later and find it for cheaper!

4. camera to sneak pictures!

Definitely the strapless bra, as was said (straps hanging out are distracting and it’s better than borrowing one from the salon).

I’d also recommend a pair of shoes with heels around the height you’re looking to wear (so when you’re not on the platform, you’ll see how the dress looks).

Also, for in between shops, bring a bottle of water and snacks! It gets hot in the dresses and under the lights!
