- Wedding: September 2014 - Dallas, TX
I went dress shopping recently and had such an amazing time. I’ve narrowed it down to 4 favorites. I love all of them and am stuck on what direction to go. My wedding is a church ceremony with a reception in a restaurant on the top floor of a high rise overlooking the city skyline. I want an elegant and romatic feel.
My friends and family all love the second dress the best. They nicknamed it the Barbie dress, because they said I looked like a Barbie in it and they all started crying when I was in it. I’m not sure if it is THE ONE though because I also love the other three.
What do you guys think?
Dress 1 – love the romantic etheral feel and the train is to die for

Dress 2 – dubbed the Barbie dress – I felt like a million bucks in it

Dress 3 – love the criss-crossing tulle. this is the kind of dress I orginally saw myself getting. FYI it’s way too small and draws attention to my tummy pooch, but the correct size wouldn’t

Dress 4 – classic and beautiful. I felt like a bride in this

@kimmo416: You look absolutely stunning in all of them, but hands down number 2!!!! 3 is my least favorite. It’s beautiful, but doesn’t have that “wow” factor.

Dress #1!!! The pointy part on the skirt of the second looks like an arrow…

@kimmo416: I love #1 and #2 but when it comes down to it I have to agree with your family. Number 2 gives you such a lovely shape and the lace is really beautiful. I love it!

Either dress 1 or 2…depending on the feel you’re going for. They’re beautiful in different ways. Very hard choice…you really do look amazing in them all! I voted dress 2, though. 🙂

@kimmo416: #1 is my least favourite. I liked the way the top of #3 hits you – #2 hits you too high and will give you those dreaded folds that strapless dresses create on even the thinnest women. You may be able to alter it so that it doesn’t hit you quite as high, though.
You look beautiful in all of them, you really just need to go with your gut. 🙂
#3 would look stunning with the right accessories, so don’t let the “plainness” of it sway you, esp. if it’s how you pictured yourself from the start.

@kimmo416: tough call- I love 2&4! I think 2 is most flattering, but I am just so so on the different fabric of the sweetheart. Dress 4 is gorgeous, and made you feel like a bride, so I voted 4! You can’t go wrong with either- perfect figure for that silhouette!

I agree that number 2 looks like it was made for you! My second choice would be number 4.

I was torn between 2 and 3, though all look wonderful on you! I went with 3 because I think it’s just a bit more sophisticated. I’m of the minority who’s not a huge fan of lace. I don’t think you can make a bad decision, though, with these choices! Well done!
