I was wondering where everyone was going to find a dress around the LA area? I am not looking to spend a lot on my dress so any suggestions would be appreciated.
TIA

There is a whole wedding row in Temple City on Las Tunas Blvd. About 30-40 stores. A lot of the stores either rent or you can purchase. I rented some of my chinese dresses from Fiona’s Bridal.
I also liked pebbles and Lili bridal just downt he street on ventura. I ended up getting a dress from Davids Bridal.. just so much cheaper. (but the material and craftsmanship is also much cheaper but hey, its ONE day!)
Check out Shinbu in LA. He’s amazing and he rents couture dresses.
I checked out a few places in Temple City and for the record I didn’t like Fiona’s Bridal at all. The owner, probably Fiona, had sort of an arrogrant attitude about her that turned me off right away so I didn’t even stay long. I showed her a picture of the kind of dress I wanted and she was pulling all these dresses that looked nothing like the one I had in the picture. so I definitely would not recommend her.
I think I am going to check out Davids Bridal. I heard a lot of mix reviews about that place.
davids bridal has it pros and cons….
Pro’s: the price, they have most sizes so you dont need the clamps, theres one in every city
Con’s cheap material and fabric, if you go when its busy (sat or sun) you will have to share a bridal consultant, may try to sell you a bunch of crap
If you go to the one in Northridge, my consultant, Georgina was VERY good about picking out dresses that i described and not pushy at all.
Bridal Elegance Salon in Torrance. I didn’t actually end up buying my dress there, but I highly recommend checking it out. They carry affordable designers, the shop is nice and best of all – the owner is a real sweetheart. She helped me tremendously…if you tell her your budget, I’m sure she can give you good advice. If you google Bridal Elegance Salon, you can scan her website.
I went to check out davids bridal but the material really was bad. the consultant was helpful and nice and they had nothing in my size and even with the clamps things looked too big.
i think im going to spend a little more on the dress then i originally thought because i would rather spend a couple hundred more on a nice dress, then to buy one at davids bridal
Try A Timeless Occasion in San Gabriel. Their prices are really affordable and they carry great quality gowns. The Bridesmaid or Best Man gowns are affordable too. Ask for Pat.
I went to David’s Bridal in Burbank and had a horrible experience. My consultant was going through a break up and she basically put all her frustration out on me. She only brought gowns that were above my budget and she didn’t let me try on gowns that weren’t in my size. It was my first dress shopping visit and I didn’t know that she could use clamps.
