Looking for some help from my South Jersey bees. Hopefully there’s some of you out there.
I am planning to go dress shopping next weekend and I’m unsure on where to even start. Do any of you have any suggestions on where to dress shop in mentioned counties? I was born and raised in Camden County and my family still lives out there. I was thinking of trying there first so I wouldn’t have to recruit everyone to Ocean County.
Any suggestions, advice, and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated!

A friend of mine bought a beautiful Maggie Sottero at Angel Bridal in Haddonfield. I also purchased my bm dress for her wedding there. Everyone was very nice and I think she had a great experience. What’s nice is that I believe there is another dress shop close by – so you could do two in a row!

@blueroses: This is the second recommendation for the salon so it’s definitely on my list now. Not too far from my grandmother’s house either. Thank you so much!

@Rouquine: I would suggest Bridal Garden in Marlton (this is where I got my dress) or Irma’s in Cherry Hill (where my BMs got their dresses, I looked there for my dress also).
I know Marlton is technically Burlington county but I have to say I had the BEST experience at Bridal Garden trying on dresses…the consultants there are VERY knowledgable. And it says online/magazines that dresses start at $1500 but my dress was definitely less than that. Not sure about your budget but don’t rule it out, you can find stuff under $1000.
I went looking at Jay West in Haddonfield and thought it was just OK.
Good luck!

@Stammie16: Thanks for your suggestions! I ended up having to cancel going shopping for dresses yesterday because I wasn’t feeling too hot. So, I’ll have to go another time. I will keep these in mind!

I highly recommend Irma’s …she’s the best and has a wonderful eye for what is the perfect dress for a bride. We’ve gotten 3 wedding gowns from her and BM’s dresses for 2 weddings.
My neice got hers at Jay West, but I’ve never liked dealing with them. Bridal Garden the same…you can’t even touch anything when you walk in the door. Angel Bridal used to be in Collingswood, but I thought they went out of business…they moved to Haddonfield?
There’s a lot of shops around, but it depends on what you’re looking for and what your budget is.
By The Way…Irma is open on Sundays too, but appointment. It’s right on Rt.70 in Cherry Hill.

@ItWasntMe: My cousin who is getting married a week before me got her dress in Haddonfield. Her mother knows her as well. I’m assuming because my aunt owns a hair salon. I will look up Irma’s though. 🙂
I’m looking for a lace-type dress. Nothing too modern or princess-y.

There are three shops in Haddonfield – Angel, Jay West, and Country Way. Country Way has a lot of dresses and they’re nice, but I would STRONGLY suggest not buying from there. They have REALLY awful customer service. The original dress I bought from there was supposed to be in 4 months ago, and it still isn’t there.
Bridal Garden in Marlton has really upscale dresses. If you’ve got a good size budget, it’s a GREAT place to go.
I’ve actually heard some bad things about Irma’s, but only as far as their pricing goes. At least check around for pricing, if that’s a concern.
I’ve also been to Rena Elle Couture. It’s on 38E in Maple Shade. It looks small from the outside, but they actually have a fairly decent selection. Good luck!

I got my dress at Jay West in Haddonfield and bridesmaids dresses at Bridal Garden in Marlton. Both great experiences! My dress was lace and check out the Casablanca collection… there seems to be a lot of lace dresses. Mine was Casablanca 1975!
