I’ve just about picked my dress but I’m having some second thoughts … Naturally my dress shop didn’t allow pics! I’m kind of a little lady (5’3 while my guy is 6’4..I anticipate a life time full of keep away like taunting :p) and I’m quite pear shaped 34-28-38 but love love my hips.
so anyways this is the dress I’m kind of dreaming about:
I never thought I would go for such a heavily beaded/blinged out dress but as soon as it was on I was I guess enchanted. i even did a post a little bit ago about accessories cause its been running in my mind !
there’s another dress I cant stop thinking of! I will post it next and explain more..

So this dress two. More along the lines of what I’ve always dreamed off- classic with a fashion twist.
Im worried dress number 1 will disappointment me when I look back at photos since its so far from what I thought my wedding dress would be. My venue is very old Hollywood but also very spanish influenced so I feel both suit the location :/
help a bee out!

The first dress is AMAZBALLS. Seriously, get it. Even with the bling, it’s not obnoxious, and it’s still very old hollywood glam in it’s design.

Hard to say without seeing them on you, but from the photos i think number 1 is more of a stunner…,all that gorgeous bead work – its so beautiful. Go with your gut and what makes you feel more excited inside!!

@JplusJ: The first dress will really emphasise your hips. The second is more of an A-line. Which style do you like best on your body? that is the first question.
Second will be BLING or NO BLING. that is a personal taste issue. Both are beautiful dresses so I really don’t think you can go wrong.
Unless we see a photo of you with similar styles on, it is hard to give you opinions of which style will be the better option for your body shape.
On personal taste, I always go for Bling because there are very few times in your life you can wear a dress like that so……

@JplusJ: Without seeing them on you, I’d have to say that the look of the second one seems like it would make you look a lot shorter, because of the layers at the bottom.

It’s hard to say without seeing them on you. That said, I’m not a fan of the second dess–I dont like those tiers or whatever. The first dress, however, is a knock out. No competition between these dresses IMO.
ETA: The edges of the tiers on the second dress remind me of cupcake liners or those folded paper fans.

Hands down, dress 1 took my BREATH away!

The Yearick all the way! Although the Lazaro is stunning (esp. in other photos…
it doesn’t quite measure up. Plus that silhouette will not be very kind to a pear-shaped figure unless you crinoline the crap out of the bottom.

First dress is all kinds of amazing. Plus, I could actually see it being worn again for a special occasion – it’s not overtly bridal. The detail and beading is incredible, and I think the silhouette would be more flattering than the Lazaro. I’m not convinced of the accordion pleats and lace tiers of the Lazaro either, but that’s a personal preference.

Since we can’t see them on you, I just have to say the second dress isn’t as pretty. It looks cobbled together out of disparate parts. The first is amazing!

@JplusJ: I cant see the first dress any more 🙁 can someone repost the picture??

@JplusJ: Did you try dress 1 on? If it’s by Stephen Yearick, I recall trying it on and it was HEAVY! Also, the horizontal lines across my butt did not work in my favor and I actually like my butt. Lol. My measurements and height are pretty close to yours so I would strongly urge you to not only try the gown on before purchasing but spend some time moving around, walking and sitting in it. Good luck!
