I finally found the perfect dress (after a long search!), but am having trouble determining the right size. Has anyone bought a Jordan Fashions gown before? I need help! I think I am between a 4 and a 6 – my measurements are 34-27-38. The 4 looks ideal, but I worry the waist will be too tight, or if the dress runs small, I will be out of luck. The bridal salon always recommends sizing up, but I also don’t want to spend oodles in alterations.
Thank you so much for your help!

I work in a bridal salon and I definitely recommend the size 6. You don’t want to have the dress be too small. Remember…your waist is mostly your rib cage, so you don’t change a whole lot there (being a smaller size) Also, it is ALWAYS easier to take a dress than to let it out. Plus, 2 inches big in the bust is not a lot. You have to split that in two….so it would be 1 inch taken in on each side. Then you have to remember they take in at the middle of the bust too, so it probably won’t even be 1 inch on the sides.
usually, even if you order to your bust measurement, brides need alterations in the bust to make the curve of the bust fit perfectly. No bust is shaped the same.
hope this helps!

I would also recommend the 6 – I know you don’t wanna pay alot in alterations but you also don’t want to buy a dress that’s too small you have to go with your biggest measurement. Remember bridal runs small.

Thank you both!! Definitely makes sense regarding the rib cage too. I know I’ll lose weight before my wedding, but not there! Now I am just between two dress styles 🙂 (same designer – slightly different looks)
