I’m confused, why don’t you order a size 6? It sounds like that would be the best choice?

Hm. Was the 8 loose everywhere? If it was snug anywhere I would not risk going down 2 sizes.

I might go with a size 4 if I knew there was enough seams to let it out.

I’m not too familiar with corset back so I don’t know how much extra wiggle room it would give you.

Here’s a labe size 8/street size 6!

@DeathByDesign:

It sounds like to me that she is trying to buy one preowned with her wedding so close. And the only sizes she can find are 4.

look up the measurements for maggie sottero.  i think it depends on how close you are, and also the seam allowance.

When I ordered my dress a few weeks ago, I was told that a corset back allows you one size up and one size down of wiggle room. So, according to what I was told, if you’d ideally be ordering a 6, you should still be able to get away with a 4. I don’t have any actual experience with this, but my bridal consultant seemed pretty confident about it.

You should be fine with a 4, the dress opens up on the hips and you’ll have room there, then the corset will help out your bust. A 4 and 6 are only off an inch on every measurement on maggie’s site.

What is your regular clothing size?

My wedding dress was two sizes larger than my regular street clothing size (regular a 0 and took a size 2 wedding dress). It is also a corset which i think should allow enough room to go up or down a size. Sounds like a gamble so close to your wedding. Have you thought of trying on dresses in a store and trying to find something off the rack that fits you? Good luck.

Take a look at their size chart and then order the size that best suits your measurements.  The actual dress will be a bit tighter than the sample of the same size
