What about the Maggie Sottero Cameron, Isadora or Leoni?  I don’t know what prices are like in the UK, but in the U.S. I think they would all fall under 1000 pounds.

@stokieGal:  Dresses are more expensive in Europe and I think to get a dress of 1000 pounds (incl. alterations) is almost close to impossible. Look out for sales and outlet store- SOMETIMES some dresses will be 50% off.

I got mine from David’s Bridal. It’s not exactly what you are saying but there is a uniqueness to it, it’s sweetheart and there is a flower and i think it would look really cute and spunky with a short hair cut. There are even pockets!!! Can you have them ship overseas?

Have you thought about doing a dressily me dress?

@Button:  I actually tried this dress on.  It was beautiful and fun, but the petals at the hip did nothing for my body (pear shaped).  It looked *great* from the front, but was a bit of a disaster from the side/back.  I think someone with less of an pear shape and more of an hourglass figure could seriously rock this amazing dress.
