So, I orderd my dress from David’s Bridal about 10 days ago and they told me it would be in at the end of March. I got an e-mail yesterday saying it’s in already!! I don’t want to even think about getting it altered until the spring or summer, so I don’t know how I’m going to store it now. I’m worried about it getting discolored from hanging in the closet for so long. Does anyone have any ideas? (And do you think it’s weird that it came in SO fast?!)

Easiest way for me was just to hang it in a well ventilated place in a white sheet or duvet cover. Will keep it clean while letting the air get to it.

The white sheet idea is good! I read that that the best way to store a dress is actually in muslin (cotton) in a dry place that is not subject to dampness. The cotton lets it breathe but keeps it covered. Maybe your dress came in because it got bumped ahead in their lineup by mistake. Now you get to enjoy looking at it much longer! Your dress should not discolor as long as it wasn’t made out of uber cheap material and I don’t think yours falls into that category.
