My mom didn’t show any interest in dresses either, which made me really sad at first, but in the long run, I’m actually kind of glad because I found THE dress and I’m really glad that I didn’t have anyone to talk me out of it (my bridesmaids were all pretty agreeable!)

Really, all that matters is that YOU love the dress and whether or not you think your fiance will love you in it, too. If your mom doesn’t love it, that’s okay. She pretty much forfeited her opinion when she didn’t want to give it.

Who’s wedding is it, anyway? 🙂

I took my mom to David’s Bridal to look. I tried on 4 dresses and the ones I liked, she hated! She’s a firm believer in more is better – I’m not. So the next time I went dress shopping I took my two sisters and bought the dress I loved! She didn’t mind. She had the experience with me (sorta) and my older sister. She’ll have another when my younger sister gets married.

While I completely see the point of wanting your mom to like/love your dress, again, as long as you love it because you’re wearing it!  I think you did the right thing.  Are you going to go with the dress that you found?

i was between 2 dresses and ended up picking the one my mom liked better, i had a little dress regret in the beginning so i say go for what YOU like and what YOU want. its YOUR day! 🙂

p.s. i fall in love with my dress more and more everytime i try it on but sometimes i cant help wonder if i loved the other dress more.
