it will look just like that once it is your size and length except you won’t be standing on a box, but it should look just the same. If you love it you should get it! It looks gorgeous on you! Makes you look taller too! 🙂

Wow it’s beautiful, if you want the height you could go with a chunkier heal, something that won’t sink in the grass. Love your dress!

The dress seems very well proportioned to your figure. I think you will be ok wearing flats and having the dress shortened without it looking like it’s cutting you off.

@peachacid:  OMG my biggest issue while shopping for dresses was the whole pedestal, standing on a box thing. i am pretty short too, and OF COURSE the dress looks SO MUCH better when you’re about 6″ taller! i had such a hard time trying not to convince myself that it would not look as nice shortened. however, for your dress, since the waist is accented (and maybe alterations could even shift it up a bit to create the illusion of longer legs?) , and the bottom of the dress just flows down, i dont think it will look bad when it is shortened. I would def. pick wedges though for extra height if you are concerned. this dress is not like the mermaid styles i had been trying, which, when you lose about 4″ on the bottom, could look completely disproportionate.

p.s. if i could, i’d carry the box around with me everywhere 🙂

I had the opposite problem!  It’s hard not to dismiss dresses when they’re too short by a few inches – they just look silly then.  It was so nice to get my actual dress in and have it be the right length!

@peachacid:  With some of the dresses, I could get an idea by bending my knees enough that the skirt touched the ground, but that didn’t work so well with some that were more fitted!  I joked that instead of a platform, I needed a hole in the ground!

@peachacid:  The dress is gorgeous but to be honest I don’t think it does much for you. But it depends on the look you’re going for. I would keep looking. I am a petite gal too and went with a drop waist gown.

It’s a beautiful dress and I think it’ll look perfect even if shortened!!
