@mrsDownie2b: I’m 5’3 and what I think is a UK size 4 or 6 (US 0 or 2). I tried one mermaid dress because my consultant insisted and it just didn’t work for me at all, it just made me feel really short ans squat. Actually ended up getting a tea length dress, which I know a lot of short brides feel hesitant about, but I think it worked for me (albeit being helped by a set of crazy heels)!

Great choices I love Mori Lee. I’m 5’1″ and I’m wearing a trumpet mori lee gown (1256). It’s a little bit of a fuller skirt.

I say wear whatever you want. I’m 5’1 and a 00 or 0P in US sizing and I’m wearing a full A-line/Ballgown style (Pronovias Bermeo). I don’t care that I’m “not supposed” to wear a big dress, I want to, dammit!

@balletbride:  just wanted to stop and say that that’s a gorgeous dress! I love the silhouette. I’m 5’2 and oftentimes people can’t seem to fathom petite brides in anything but an A-line. So more power to you!

You know, that’s one style I wish I had tried on.   I think we’re pretty similar in shape, I’m an inch or so taller and just under 100 lbs, like, 95 ish.   I knew what I wanted so I didn’t try on many different silhouettes but I kinda wish I had tried this one one.  A friend of mine wore that exact dress (I think, anyway, hers was a maggie sottero) so I didn’t want to seem like I was copying her.

My dress is not quite a ballgown, but not really an a-line either.

Ignore the stupid look on my face, I was talking when my mother took the picture.

I’m a little under 5’2″ and I went with a dropped waist A-line. It shows off my curves a little more than a typle a-line would while still giving me a nice, long shape.

Sorry for the late replies work took over for a bit grrr!

@coffeeaddict ah thank you 🙂 ,  I always thought I would have a fuller dress and tried on A lines, they looked nice but I didn’t feel like me in them, though I still look at fuller skirts and day dream lol 🙂

@Purple_Bride yes it is Soterro and Midgley Adorae.  I sometimes wish I had gone for a fuller skirt I love my dress but I do wish the skirt was a little fuller but, I am going to wear a cathedral veil which makes me feel like its fuller  🙂 .  I love your dress I have seen you post it before and I remember thinking it looked really luxurious and perfect on you .

@mrsDownie2b it is Adorae by Soterro and Midgley, how is the search going ? 🙂
