Okay girls here is my dilemma. I have my dress for the ceremony that I absolutely love…but our venue has now done a switchero and we will be in Vegas instead of San Francisco… so I have decided for several reasons I will need a second dress. My first has a big train and is satin so it is both heavy and hot not something to go out in Vegas after the ceremony in. So I am looking for suggestions. I want something fun and light and different in maybe chiffon or organza stuff like that. I had looked into WTOO Sylvia and Isadora as well as looking at knee length 50s style swing dresses, but the thing that I am afraid of is looking like a big girl squeezed into too slim of a dress or not looking enough like a bride. I’m a 16-18 for reference. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

could you look for a bm dress you like and order it in white? That way you could choose a beautiful and flattering style and it would for sure be your correct size.
This one is from David’s

Check out david’s bridal dresses (the short ones are cute and affordable)
And what about something chiffon since you want lighter and maybe more fun?

great short dress! it even comes with a little bolero! It has a corset back which give us full figured girls a fantastic waistline! Use the store locator to find a shop near you!
Simple without looking plain! Lightweight taffeta fabric comes in 20 DIFFERENT COLORS! Very flattering one shoulder and belt detail for a shapely waist. BC there isn’t any embellishment on the train, you could always cut it off to whatever length you would like!

I think something from Dolly Couture (http://www.dollycouture.com/) would be PERFECT for a second dress for a Vegas wedding! They’re flirty, fun and short and I think they’d be perfect for what you’re looking for. Check it out!

Peppermint Pretty is a lot like Dolly Couture. she has an etsy shop and also has her dresses to try on at a bridal salon in arizona.
Website has music, FYI. 😀

Claire Pettibone also has some super cute shorter dresses if you’re going for a short look- and comparatively not too expensive.

I just bought a dress yesterday for our informal wedding.
This is the dress and I got it in white. By Cassandra Stone II It is soooo flattering on. Hides all of my figure flaws and accentuates “the girls” nicely. I am same size as you.

We have the same issue… Vegas wedding, 2nd time around, same April wedding month, same size, and I dont want to be bothered with a bustle/train…

@TheFutureMrsE: No not yet. I am still on the look out. I feel like I have a million things to do at once and no time. I know thats not true but for some reason I am amazed at how difficult it is to find a second dress.

I like Whirling Turban better than Dolly Couture, they look like they fit a lot better.
