It’s taking my dress about 10 months to come in but I think it’s because they put in the wedding date and then schedule it for a production time based on that. So, if you order a full year in advance of your date, they aren’t going to put it at the front of the line to be made.

If you have a lot of alterations to do, is there any way for your store to request it be rushed or moved up in production?

They should have communicated this to you in a better way… you’re not out of line to be shocked by something when you were told something else.

I recently bought my dress off the rack here in L.A. and the sales lady told me specifically that Pronovias takes longer than other manufacturers. I guess the silver lining is that you are getting a Pronovias gown so you get the quality vs. the speediness. For what it’s worth, I’ve never had a friend complain about the quality – they are impeccable and have a great reputation for quality.

I ordered a Pronovias as well at the end of November. They estimated that it will arrive in April. I will check with them in April to find out. I hope it comes in April so I can check the dress off my to do list.
