My Fiance and I had the same dilemma so we decided to choose the same color (dark ivory) and material (satin) so that even though we have very different body types, and liked different silhouettes, are dresses would be complimentary. She chose a Winne Couture dress in Cream Pearl first, and gave me a color swatch, which I took with me to try on Maggie Sottero dresses. Afterall that work, we ended up seeing each other’s dresses afterall. She started having dress doubts and asked me to go with her to try on her dress again to make sure it was the one she wanted. Since I had already seen her dress, she came with me for my first fitting. Our dresses really compliment each other.

A part of me wishes we had stuck to our original plan to be surprised but I am hoping we still get that “world stops turning” feeling when we see each other all dolled up in hair and make-up on our big day.
